Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

    Book Me!

We try to contain all of our books to bookshelves throughout the house, while trying to know the audience. Family room gets non-embarrassing books to be browsed and lent out like humor and popular fiction; guest room has fun fiction and travel/hiking guides; and the office has some professional development and books relating to our personal work bios. Of course, random books will find a new home outside of this system every time we “clean.”

    BOOK ME!

I probably have too many books. The last time I boxed them all up, I had more boxes of books than I had of shoes or clothes. My favorites are usually displayed somewhere where I can get to them easily (coffee table, side table, nightstand), but I rotate favorites frequently and they really could be anywhere. Once we get moved into our new place, I’m looking forward to getting all my books unpacked and accessible again.

Book Me! I’m kind of a mess and have books everywhere. Book shelves, coffee table, cookbooks on top of the fridge, stacked on the dresser and night stand, even in boxes in my future in-laws basement. But there is always room for more books – especially wedding and house books as we are in the middle of planning our wedding and looking for a house!!!

My favorite books are all over the place – we have a large bookshelf surrounding our TV so that’s where most of them are, but i have a bedside spot for what I’m currently reading, an office spot for stuff I want to access during my workday, and we have a bedroom bookshelf which is mostly for boring books that don’t need prime real estate :)

In my house I have a beautiful wall of built-ins and embarrassingly, not enough books to fill them! I’ve always been a huge bookworm, but lately have moved so much that I got rid of so many books. When I didn’t have enough for the bookcase, I was like, “I don’t even know who I am anymore!”
