Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

My very favorite book right now, well, lifesaver really (What to Expect the First Year), lives either on the nightstand or next to the rocking chair. :) My best friend and I are coming to your signing in Dallas in a couple of weeks and we are SO excited!

    BOOK ME!!! (Please!)

Being a librarian, it’s blasphemous that I own as many books as I do (I could be BORROWING them, sheesh!), so we’ve got lots of spots: a prominent ladder-style bookshelf system in the dining room for the “prettier” titles, three (count ’em three) book cases in our office, one in the nursery, and two nightstands full of ’em. :-) Oh, and there are stacks as part of our decor sprinkled throughout the house, of course.

    Book Me!

I have a number of places I store books in our house, but my faves always end up on the custom shelf I built for the corner of my bedroom, or the little table next to the old wingback by my front window (my favorite place to read).

We converted our furnace room (big white cinder block room) into a library. Wall to wall books. I love it so much. It’s my favorite room in the house and these books would be an awesome addition!!!

I keep one shelf of my leaning bookcases for my super special favorites, but I also keep 1 or 2 on the nightstands in my bedroom for what I like to call ‘comfort reading’. For times when I want to do a little reading before bed but would rather revisit something familiar than have to pay too much attention to a new plotline. BOOK ME!

I hate to say it, but I was disappointed when I opened your book today. =( I pre-ordered from amazon, and the matte cover the printer used was torn in one spot and had ink on the edges of the cover. Pity. But then I opened it to find – projects I’ve seen on pinterest, other home decorating sites. I was a little disappointed by the lack of creativity, and at times the cheapness in look/quality of the projects. I have loved some of the projects off of you guys blog, and I love how you put your personality into it. But this book is not as unique as I was hoping it would be.

BOOK ME! – My favorite books are in every room of the house! Some in the bookcase next to the fireplace, some on the TV console, some (oh yes) are in the toy room and some are haphazardly on the floor next to my bed. I love to read; sadly they are mostly collecting dust when my 2 year old is running around, but I try to read at night.

    BOOK ME!!

My favorite books live on a corner bookshelf right next to my side of the bed. :)

I’d say 95% of the books in my house are mine or gifts I bought my husband, so I could also say that my favorite books are in the dining room antique lawyer’s stacking shelves, and in the office, and in the nursery, and in the garage, and in boxes in my closet…

    Problem? What problem?

Sadly, most of my books are still in a box in the basement even though we’ve lived in our house almost 7 months now. The lack of bookshelves needs to be rectified!
