Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

BOOK ME!!! (…please). We had built in bookshelves in our previous house and we loved having all of our books organized on the shelves. Currently, we are living with my parents while our house is being built, so the books are all in boxes. But in our *new* home (YAY!) we are planning on building a library in the front room and making it a den/office/library with floor to ceiling Ikea/built-in looking shelves! Can’t wait!

    BOOK ME!

I keep my favorite books in the living room. Most of them live on a “bookcase” that I found at a garage sale in my hometown – a guy had made it from some leftover copper piping! I like to keep my favorite design and/or travel books where I can see them and others can see them – and where I can randomly pick one up and page through it. I am SO EXCITED to add Young House Love to my collection tomorrow!

BOOK ME! As an English major, I have quite a collection of books on bookcases and built-ins throughout the house. Even the foot board of our bed is a bookcase full of books. My favorite way of displaying them, is on wall mounted brackets that make them look like they are floating.

    BOOK ME!

I’m actually a big fan of the public library because I read so much and checking out books from the library really keeps my book costs down to a minimum. However, those precious books that do make their way into my house stay on my bookshelves either in my living room or in my office.

Whatever book I am enjoying at the moment follows me around. It goes in my car, on my bedside table etc. But we keep books all over our house, that way if you ever get stuck in a room, you have something to read.

    BOOK ME!

Living in a small space doesn’t allow for a ton of book room (some day I will have a library a la Beauty & the Beast) so only my favorites get to stay with us. I have one bookshelf where my favorite books live and the rest either get donated or sent to my parents’ house. I prefer real books to the Kindle but that is one giant plus to the Kindle – less book weight added to our boxes when moving!
