So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. Book Me! I like to keep my books out where I can look through them. I have some on my coffee table, Ana White’s book on my night stand (for projects I want to start soon!) and keep some in a china cabinet that will soon be painted a nice aqua color!

I’m a pretty fanatical book-worm and always have two or three reads going at once. So I have a giant Expedit in the spare bedroom that is packed completely full. Then I have lots of large-format, pretty art and coffee table books in stacks around the den and living room. And my “current reads” live in a large basket on the lower shelf of my nightstand — when they’re not in my purse, on the bathroom vanity, in my car, on top of the microwave, wherever…

We created a library in the small front room in our house. It was too small to be a living room or family room. We took a trip to IKEA, got about five BILLY’s and lined them up against the wall. We love displaying our favorite books and lots of photos on the shelves.

I’m a librarian so I actually get a lot of books from the library – those have a special spot in my apt so I don’t forget to return them. Otherwise, I have a bookshelf organized by old favorites and things to read that I bought but haven’t gotten around to reading yet (the poor things).
