So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. BOOK ME! I am a nerd, so my books are prominently displayed in the living room–they are organized between fiction and non-fiction and alphabetized by author. My husband and family are all tired of moving my books and were thrilled when we moved into our own home (and when they bought me a Kindle).

BOOK ME! I keep my books organized by color in a bookshelf my Dad made me in college. He said it was “throw-away” furniture when I moved into my first apartment, but nearly 12 years later it is still the most loved piece in my living room!

book me! this is funny because i was just thinking that i need to do a better job of displaying my favorite coffee table type books. as of yesterday i have my “to be read” books on my nightstand, my favorite coffee table books in two stacks (one on an end table and one on a table in our foyer) and four books shelves that are overflowing and need to be weeded out. i love books :)

Right now it seems like my favorite books live on my kindle, but those truly special ones — like the oft read novels from my high school days — they live on a bookshelf in our dining room where I can easily find them any time I want to revisit them.

BOOK ME!!! I have a special nook in my office that I keep all my favorite books, they are there where everyone can take a look and curl up with one if they choose. Of course my new and most recent favorite is YOUNGHOUSELOVE and it happily resides on my bedside table!

I keep all my most favorite books stashed in my closet, for now. I don’t want my art-journaling crazy daughters to think they are fair game to cut up and create with!
I am in the process of re-doing my bedroom (which is currently a resting place for all the excess in the house. Similar to your ‘play room’ but I actually SLEEP in that room!) So I am thinking of different ways to display all my favorite books right now :)

i keep all my favorite cook books on the shelves around the kitchen sink for easy access and for decoration of course!
i love to take the paper covers off of books and expose the real book cover and binding. we have a very old house with lots of built ins so i love to display the books both vertically and horizontally on all of these shelves in our living area and bedroom.
i keep all my “to read” books stacked next to my bed side table with my bible.
and having a husband in grad school we always have a lovely array of physicaly therapy/anatomy books scattered nicely in the living room :)

BOOK ME! …So that we can add more books to our…bedroom, at least 5 on each side of the bed that are in various stages of “consumption”… in the living room, on the 2 dedicated shelves and the coffee table… in the family room on the 4 dedicated shelves and the top of the piano… in the office, on the 16 x 9 foot wall of shelves that still has empty shelves…in the craft room that has the yummiest idea books…and last but not least,in the workshop, where my husband keeps books on making stuff.
