Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

    BOOK ME!

i don’t have a place for favorite books, BUT i keep ones that i am reading or re-reading in a pile on my bed. For some reason, I don’t bother keeping them on the nightstand.

BOOK ME!!! I’m starting to spread them out as I get them! One on my nightstand, a couple on the tv console, a couple on the new entryway table. But my YHL book is following me around the house! I want them everywhere!

    BOOK ME!

There is a perfect spot on our bookcase where a colorful stack of design books would look just right! It’s a bookcase with glass doors, because with two kids under 4, nice ‘grown up’ books can’t be left within reach. :)

    BOOK ME!

I live in an apartment, and my cabinets have a good 2 ft of space between the top and the ceiling. I keep all of my cookbooks up there, as well as tons of old literary classics. It’s a great storage space and also personalizes and otherwise hard-to-personalize area in my apartment (since I can’t paint/replace cabinets/flooring, etc).

BOOK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, oh, oh BOOK ME!!! All our books on my ‘To Read’ list! They would look beautiful proudly sitting on my floor to ceiling shelves in my family room. It’s already filled with books like these and lots of gardening books.

Where do I keep my books? The simpler answer is where “don’t” I keep books?! I have them in every room. Every single room. In the hallways, bathrooms, yes they are there! My kitchen has a baker’s rack full of cookbooks. We have end tables by our sofa and by our beds that store books. Can you tell that I love them? Oh, I have a nook also full of books, but can’t resist buying the hard copy of my favorites. You don’t get the wonderful *smell* of a book on a ereader, do you???

    BOOK ME!

We have a few bookcases in my house but we joke about what books go where. For example – Twilight, Harry Potter and Hunger Games go in the bedroom where there are no visitors. On the other hand Gotham (The History of NYC) gets prime coffee table real estate so visitors think we are super well read. (Correct that- my husband is super well read, I am well read in vampires and werewolves)
