So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. Our favourite books migrate from the IKEA shelves in our living room to the floating shelf above our bed when they’re being read. In bed is my favourite reading spot, so I’m glad my husband put in the floating shelf where he did! :)

We have a huge collection of books that live in an industrial shelving unit in our living room. They are coordinated by color and live a good life there on the shelves, but my husband‘s favorites hang out on a shelf in our newly renovated bathroom and my selected few are stacked on top of a salvaged nightstand we DIYed a few years back.

I have more than 7,000 books and when we moved to what was supposed to be a temporary apartment while we looked for a larger place my poor hubby gave up his garage space for many of those books and devised a plastic bin storage system to make getting to whatever book I wanted easier. Now here it is 6 years later and we still live in the same small apartment and there are still a ton of books (I lost count) that go in and out of the garage, depending on what author or genre I’m reading or what projects I’m working on that particular month.

I’m disappointed this giveway is not international, although I thought this one would be a really easy one to ship outside the US. I would love to have all these books for inspiration! Book Me! Everywhere! Books, in our home, mainly live on one of a many bookshelves, but we like to rotate out what stays on the coffee table. Then you’ll usually find a few on the night stand, or end table. One can never have too many books!
