So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. Our books are all in various places, some are in the bookshelf downstairs, others (favorites) are stacked nicely on a shelf in our living room that I made (plans from Ana White…inspired from your old dining room), and other are on an end table by the rocking chair or story time with the kiddos.

We have small clusters of books all over the house, but my favorite by far has to be my collection of editions of Wuthering Heights. It’s my favorite book and I started occasionally picking up a new copy every time I found one. My number is up to 21 now and I’m hoping to keep expanding it. we’re book people, so we have about 5 bookshelves crammed to the gills with favorites (although to be fair, one of those shelves is actually full of our kids’ books), but since we have no flat walls to put them on (darn baseboard heating), they live in an area of the garage that we converted into a reading room. :)

Our books live in our Billy Bookcases (thank you IKEA!), which are in our living room. We have a veritable library! But the books we are currently reading are either on our nightstands, in my purse, or in my husband’s backpack. Got to keep entertained during our bus commute!

Book me! I keep my favorite books in a few different places: my most special are stacked together in my living room, nestled between some blue mason jars. These are books that I have collected over time, that my parents have given to me, or that hold a particular place in my heart. I also keep a stack of my favorite cookbooks on top of a kitchen counter. My limited assortment of well-loved cooking manuals are weighted down by a small framed David Bowie post card.
It’s just as awesome as it sounds.

All of these books are on my wish list, I would so love the YHL book fairy to grant my wish ;) I have a floor to ceiling semi custom-made 10′ tall bookcase in my living room.
