So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. BOOK ME! I have books everywhere with 9!(5 large and 4 small) bookcases around the house. My favorites are scattered throughout but I try to only keep books that I enjoy.

BOOK ME!!! All of my favorite books stand proud on my dark wood book case in my family room. My coffee table books usually end up being books the kids are currently reading, as well as our photo books that the kids love flipping through. My night stand consists of books I wish I had time to finish reading (way too many that have been started and not finished!).

I keep my favorite books everywhere as books are an accessory in each room of my home, including the bathroom (gasp) and laundry room (hey, good idea!). I tend to carry the most recent special books around with me in my purse or bag and tote them to work, soccer practice, meetings, etc. just to have them with me. I also have a shelf in the den for all my special books. I hoard them, treasure them and refer to them constantly.

Books tend to be EVERYWHERE in our house. There are bookshelves in our living room filled with books, cooking magazines, and one shelf is dedicated to LonelyPlanet travel books of the places we have gone. Our books that are currently being read are on our nightstands next to our bed stacked high on either side. There are cookbooks tucked in tightly in old wine boxes hung on our kitchen wall. And, our daughter’s bookshelves are filled with board books, childhood favorites, and about 7 copies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

I love my Kindle, but our favorites with pretty pictures and visuals galore get prime real estate in the side table next to our couch for easy reference, entertainment and eye candy.
