So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. BOOK ME! I am a huge bookworm. But I don’t have ANY of these books!! I have six bookcases in my living room, plus a shelf that goes all the way around the room (on top of the bookcases). Plus two extra bookcases in our bedroom, and a big Expedit bookcase in the baby’s room. Yup, that’s a lot of books.

Book me!! I have several places where books are showcased in my house. The coffee table is reserved for the book that I designed a few years ago. (It’s like artwork on the fridge. Just HAS to be there to make momma proud!) But I like stacks of a few books in several locations too. Just to prettify things. : )

I carry my books around with me through the house as I read through them–at any given moment they could be on the couch in the living room, on my night stand, on the kitchen counter. Then they rotate from coffee table to bookshelf and back again.
One of the biggest and most ridiculous fights I’ve ever had with my husband was when he tried to clean my apartment by taking my 5 coffee table books and putting them on.the.floor.underneath the coffee table. Yeah. I don’t even know. He to this day insists it’s better that way.

Book me!! I keep my favorite books throughout my house. I put my favorite literature in the guest bedroom in case a guest wants to read, my coffee table books are on display in our living room, etc. eventually I’d like to do some awesome built ins and display our library.

I love my books, and I also keep them close to me. Sadly, since I just barely graduated from college I don’t have anything fancy to keep them in, but I do have a cheap prefab bookcase my grandpa helped me put together. It was the last thing we did together before he died, so even though it’s cheap it’s very special to me.

Having a toddler means that my favorite books reside on the top shelf of our large bookcase that my husband built or in the built-ins around our fireplace. One of my favorite poetry books ended up with green crayon on the title page so I couldn’t pretend that my daughter would ignore them.

I love placing design books on my side table next to my vintage sofa that was unearthered after a furniture was purchased. The sofa had been sitting on the showroom floor for over 20 years with the tags still on it. I love my amazing blue velour sofa and I love that I paid 50 bucks for it on craigslist even more. My side table provides lots of relaxing evening perusing and reading. :)
