Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

    BOOK ME!

My husband and I are both completely obsessive book worms. We have books in every room of our home except the bathroom. It’s actually kind of a big decorating problem. We have books in a small bookcase in the living room, above the sink in the kitchen, in the office and on an entire hugely long wall in the bedroom. And on our nightstands. And on the end table next to the sofa. And in the car in case we get stranded somewhere. And two in my purse in case I finish out while I’m out. Yeah.

So five or six more won’t get in the way :-)

We keep our special books in our built-in glass cabinets that came with our 1920’s bungalow. We love them!
We could really use these books to guide us on our home decorating adventure.

Most of my books have been in the garage for over a year since I moved. I need to paint my laminate bookshelves to put them out, and clearly this is something I’m avoiding. But, usually I love lots of books everywhere!

    // BOOK ME //

My special books live in our ‘book nook.’ There is an area in our apartment that was meant to be a formal dining room, but it seemed better suited for our colorful collection of design books & novels. We have a giant bookshelf that is backed by our fun chevron wall. Our books share the space with pictures and mementos of our friends & fam.

    BOOK ME!

We recently were able to dedicate an entire room in our small house (which will eventually become a nursery) to my library :) I have three book shelves total in there, two of them side by side, and the top two shelves of both of those hold my most favorite books. And whatever book I am currently reading finds itself alternately sitting on our living room endtable or my bedside table.

My books live on a bookshelf in my bedroom. I happily and easily give most fiction books that I’ve read to others, while keeping a few favorites, but I can’t bear to part with my travel books and a few other favorites, i.e. decorating, some biographies, etc.

Book Me! We are book lovers at our house. Last library book sale, we came home with 22 books. We have books on bookshelves in the living room, under the coffee table (stacked neatly, might I say), on side tables, on bookshelves in the bedroom, on the floor next to the bed, on our bedside tables, on two bookshelves and along a blackboard wall in our son’s room Books migrate throughout the house. When we last moved, the movers told us, “You don’t have a lot of stuff like furniture but you have a ton of books and tools.” That’s our life!
