So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. BOOK ME!! I have 3 large bookshelves full of everything from the first book I read as a 3 year old to my favorite college textbooks to the letters I exchanged with my husband while we were dating. Besides that I usually have two or three books on my dresser or coffee table and at least one audiobook on my iPod at all times. I’m a definite bookworm. :)

I’ve had to pare down my book collection (and as an English major, it was extensive) due to lack of space and time to read now that there are two little ones and all their gear. But we have two BILLYs from IKEA — the top half houses my book collection and the bottom half (with doors!) houses toys, games and craft supplies.

One of the closets in our master bedroom is our library. The closet is too shallow to hang clothes and was already filled with shelves when we moved in so it’s perfect.

We are redoing a whole room in our house into a library because we have that many books. It is already looking beautiful with a gold-painted ceiling; now I just have to put up the gorgeous wallpaper and support my husband as he makes the floor to ceiling bookshelves. Then our 83 boxes of packed books (plus some more we’ve bought since we moved a year ago) will have a home!
