Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

Book ME. There is not a room in my house that doesn’t have a stack of books in it. Most are proudly displayed but there are a few cheesy ones (like john grisham) that I will hide away.

    Book me!

We keep our books in a bookcase in our bedroom! But I’ve also recently taken 3 books (all white without the covers) and placed them in the living room, with a cute white ceramic fish I scored at a thrift store for $3!! Thanks for constant inspiration!

Book Me! We LOVE books in our house, so one of the first things we did when we moved in was create a full wall of bookshelves (that only look built in, despite my wishes that they actually were) so we could have easy access to all of our favorites!

I have too many books to count (and yes, I arrange them by color!) I’ve actually stopped buying books and now use the library exclusively. But a good design book always has room in my home.

My books generally live on my nightstand until I’m done reading them. (Your book currently lives there!) Then they usually find a place to live forever … on our coffee table or a shelf somewhere. Would LOVE to read ALL of those books!!!

I like to use some books as decor, and others I keep on my nightstand. I tend to rotate them around as well.

Side note: I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting my pre-ordered Amazon.com YHL book, but I happened to be at Barnes and Noble last Friday and lo and behold there was your book! I really wanted to sit down and devour the whole thing but my 8 month old had other plans :). But you guys… it looks AWESOME! I didn’t realize it was square either- love love love it. Congrats!

Book me! I am lucky enough to have an extra bedroom I use as a library (and the closet in there holds my knitting stuff)! It was the first room fully unpacked when we moved in, because I knew exactly where all the books belonged and it made me feel so calm amidst the chaos of moving to go in there and see everything tidy! (Note: it has somehow also become a room for general storage lately and is significantly less tidy.)

Book me! I keep books . . . in EVERY room! I have books in my living room, books in my kitchen, books in my bedroom, books in my study, books in the bathroom, and the run-over books are stored in closets and in my storage unit! (It’s a bit of a sickness, but you could have worse habits than buying books, I guess! I hope!) I have books displayed on my coffee table, piled on top of my stereo speakers (Am I dating myself with that comment?) and on shelves, which I stuff into every nook and cranny! I even use an old rocking chair in my bedroom as a place to pile books, instead of for sitting! But I still have room for one more — Young House Love is a must buy! Good luck on your tour!
