Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

Book me! Right now a lot of our books are in boxes that we haven’t unpacked yet since we moved into our first house. But I would definitely make room front and center for these books. Since we were hit hard by Sandy, Amazon told us delivery of your book is delayed this week. Can’t wait to get it!

BOOK ME! I keep all my design books right next to my desk as a source of inspiration. But they do tease me and I tend to go all ADD and want to stop working and start re-decorating. :) Congrats again on your book release…I’m stalking my copy that’s head my way as I type this.

    BOOK ME!!

I have books all over the house!I usually keep the one I’m reading close by though. I used to think I wanted a library then realized how much space that would actually be. And I just saw an episode of Hoarders, they had 500,000 books. I could barely breathe & that was just on TV! Now I keep only the ones I love & pass on the rest. I’m pretty sure I would love all of these!

    BOOK ME!

We don’t have a lot of space in our small townhome but my favorite books live in two places:

    on my bedside table
on a console table behind our loveseat so that you can see them when you walk into the living room

For those we really don’t have room for, my Momma has a library at my childhood home that was converted from an early 1900s general store.

Book me, please! Sentimental books from my grandmother are scattered throughout the house (on tables and on bookshelves). Books that I use daily are strewn all over the kitchen table, which, unfortunately, functions as my desk these days.

As someone who taught high school English for three years; I adore all types of books. My husband is even going to by me a copy of yours for our anniversary, but I’d love a signed copy. :)

BOOK ME! We just bought a home with awesome built in bookshelves that line an entire wall, with a build in window seat. Magical. Between my husband I have we have over 10 full boxes of books, so those shelves will be filled in no time! (And whatever isn’t filled YET gets adorned with pics, things we’ve collected abroad, etc.)
