Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

I haven’t touched the kitchen since I moved in as it is in good shape but it’s not very colorful and this would make for a great start!

Adler me…the boldest part of my kitchen is the paint color on the walls, but I’m thinking of going more neutral and using dishware as the pop of color.

We’ve been trying to liven up our mostly industrial, chrome-and-brushed-metal kitchen with some pops of orange, coral, and yellow as of late – and are loving the results! A gorgeous Kohler sink with Adler design would be the perfect finishing touch to our almost-complete kitchen masterpiece!

    ADLER ME!

We have recently gotten in the habit of picking up some colorful flowers at the grocery store. Our local store usually has some bouquets of flowers marked down to $3-5 that still look great for a week or two and provide a punch of color on the counter or table. This is an especially great and inexpensive way to make an impact when entertaining.

    ADLER ME!

I’m not currently adding color to our kitchen, because we’re in the process of updating some other rooms before (hopefully) a big update in the kitchen. But when we do, I looooove navy and yellow. Sunny, happy, a little nautical which is appropriate since my Husband is a US NAVY sailor. :)

More importantly though, I just love Jonathan Adler and his Husband. Just saw them on 10 Things That Make Me Happy on Bravo and they’re adoooorable!

ADLER ME! The kitchen is actually the ONLY room in our house that has any color! We have a muted green on the walls, a mustard yellow on the backsplash and over the hood, and pops of rusty-orangey-reds here and there. Sounds kinda weird typing that out, but it’s my favorite room in the whole house!

ADLER ME! My kitchen is currently pretty boring with grey, white, and black as our backdrop. I do, however, have HUGE painting of bold, primary colors that brings some pop! to the room. I also re-covered my barstools to bring out the green in the painting. I’d love to add more color with the sink, too!!!!

I’m currently looking to swap out my countertops and backsplash for something still classic (like subway tile and creamy granite or marble) but with more of a punch that what we have now. I covet that sink in Greenwich Green, because right now I have a wall color I really like (BM Greenmount Silk) that works with my Le Creuset in kiwi. I don’t have the counter space for fresh flowers and my appliances are stainless. . . so that sink would be perfect!

ADLER ME! I just neutralized my kitchen. I had the typical “New-house-cover-it-in-color” problem when we moved in. Quickly, I regretted my red pepper colored walls. They are now a grey-green and I love them. I’m planning on adding some coral as a pop of color. But that green sink would also be fun!

We have the ugliest denim blue counters, that due to budget reasons have to stay put for awhile. But changing out my curtians and some other decor and throwing in more blues and whites (then the greens and browns i normally like) it makes it work! And Ive managed to carry a theme of blues, cremes and greys thru out most of the house now!

ADLER ME! What perfect timing–we are about to jump into some big kitchen remodel purchases. Fingers crossed we win the sink/faucet combo!

I just noticed this weekend that I have unconsciously incorporated retro mint green throughout our kitchen–the stand mixer, our coffee press, a large metal vase, etc. A lovely apron sink would set them off so nicely!
