Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! Right now, the pop of color in our kitchen is the ridiculous pink left over from owners years ago. We discovered it when we replaced the old microwave, and if you happen to look up while getting something from a lower cabinet, you’ll get a shocking pink surprise!

ADLER ME! We just moved into a new place and haven’t been able to put any time or money into the kitchen yet, so the most colorful thing is definitely dinner every night! :) Looking forward to when we actually do have some time/money to spend on the kitchen though!

We painted our kitchen sunny yellow last fall and it makes me so happy. I like to use brightly colored towels to add some extra color, and have been thinking about what kinds of artwork we can hang to make it extra awesome.

    ADLER ME!

We recently moved into a 1965 Rambler. The house has never had any renovations done and is all original. The kitchen is in very (VERY!) poor condition. We are currently saving up to start tackling this project and would love to be able to begin this project with this great give away.

My grandmother always used yellow in her kitchen and I would love to add a big splash of color with a yellow sink! It would be very nostalgic for me and also help create a home for our future children. Currently, the only color in the entire kitchen are the original counter-tops. They are patterned with pink and blue stars that overlay eachother. Its actually really cute, and we would love to up-cycle them and use them in our future kitchen.

Thank you very much for posting this great give-away. We love love love the blog!

    ALDER ME PLEASE!

What a smokin giveaway! I literally just discovered this blog a day ago. I have been on it night and day and am in awe of all it has to offer. I love that yellow sink!

I bring color into my kitchen with my bar stools, little pieces or art work, and then I buy colorful kitchen utensils that I keep out. I also want to use open shelfing to display my plate collection. When I lived in NY I would collect a different plate (same size) from a flea market every weekend. Kinda fun

ADLER ME! I’m a doctoral student in a condo with builder-grade oak cabinets, cheap laminate countertop and a bad beige paint job (covering wall, trim, even some twine the old owners were too lazy to remove!). I love to cook and spend a ton of time in my little kitchen. I’ve brightened it with fun blue accents (my grandmother’s speckled teapot, a swirly plate from Turkey) and a funky 1970s turtle cookie jar, but would LOVE LOVE LOVE a new sink and faucet to be the focal point of what’s currently a pretty drab excuse for the heart of the home!

ADLER ME! Thanks for making this great giveaway possible. My kitchen cabinets are boring almond laminate and I want so much to paint them white. I picked up a few greenwich green color pops (bread box, kettle and utensil holder) but need to add more. This new sink would really make a difference-I love the apron sinks, and I am desperately in need of a new one. Everything seems to start falling apart once the house is 20 years old.

SOOO awesome! I am bringing color into my kitchen thru ART! Since my kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and exposed wooden beams that match the reclaimed wood floors…I let those shine and add accents of teal for a vintage but worn beach type feel!
