Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

Wow, those colored sinks are gorgeous. I have a fear of being too bold with color, and as a result, my home is probably much too muted. A colorful sink would be just the thing to brighten up my white/black kitchen. Right now, the most colorful thing in it is a beautiful bouquet of dahlias from my backyard. I love the fresh flowers of summer.

Adler me! Omgoodness … While my significant other and I go back and forth on the accent color for the kitchen – I’m in favor of 99% white right now … I think any of these fantastic sinks would do just the trick in bringing in just a splash of fun. To bring it in right now I have a big deep lime green tray the coffee maker sits in (spills averted) and a lime green container on the counter to hold wooden spoons. Don’t even start me on those faucets!

Adler me!!! I think pretty flowers cut from your own garden are the best kind of color in a kitchen…too bad it has been so dry this summer :( My flowers are all drooping!!! Oh well, maybe I’ll have to start looking forward to fall color schemes a little early this year…

We moved into our house with navy-and-cream striped wallpaper, complete with printed floral bouquets. When we tried to steam the paper off, the drywall paper came off instead. So we revised our plan and sealed the paper with oil-based primer, then painted the whole kitchen a cheery yellow. It’s always a little shot of sunshine, particularly appreciated during winter in Alaska!

ADLER ME! We currently live in a rental, so we can’t paint ANYTHING. Boo! To bring in color, I took the cabinet doors off of the cabinets that store our multi-colored Fiestaware. Instant color! And it makes unloading the dishwasher super quick. We’re looking for a house to buy, and I want SO SO much to put in an apron front sink. Love the Annapolis Navy!

The kitchen is usually devoid of color save for the grey wall paint, but it helps to have some produce on display (and a good cook who shares the house). Of course when fuzzy blues begin to show on the produce, it Is time to “update” the decor :)

ADLER ME! My 1921 kitchen desperately needs updating, but we do have a bright red floor w/ specs of blue/grey. Planning to add 7′ of white beadboard w/ navy paint above it (nearly 10′ ceilings), so either that gorgeous navy or that perky yellow sink would be the crowning touch!

I have been having the hardest time with the colors for my kitchen, so this would help BIG TIME! I just recently painted my kitchen cabinets white and I have the original backsplash that came with our house…its brown, beige and grey tiles. It’s not wicked bad, but not what I would pick. But, I’m trying to bring in more color. I painted the walls grey (moonshine, in fact!), but need some bursts of color. Thanks for this great give-away!
