Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! I love bringing in color from fruit and veggies ripening on the counter. And seasonal dishtowels, and fresh bouquets from the garden! I’d LOVE to add a BIG dose of color with an Adler sink and new faucet… our kitchen could really use an upgrade! (Pink tile counter tops from the ’80s, anyone?…)

We painted the walls a watery blue and hung artwork with some yellow accents, also our dish towels have some yellow in them too. I’ve been eyeing a yellow le cusset tea kettle too. It brings some happy to my otherwise white cabinets and dark grey counter top.

    ADLER ME!

Our kitchen is original from 1955. I’ve painted the knotty pine cabinets white, but I admit to a soft spot for the red formica counter with the stainless steel trim. I’ve bought a red Kitchen Aid mixer, a red clock and one of those old step stool/chairs everyone’s grandma had (in red of course!). Add in the stainless steel (also original) back splash and it keeps me from obsessing over redoing the kitchen right now. :)

I have a weakness for buying myself bright, colorful flowers every time that I make a trip to the supermarket. I place them smack dab in the center of the kitchen table– this way, everyone can enjoy them; and they bring a cheerful pop of color to an otherwise outdated and drab kitchen. Please oh please Adler me!

ADLER ME!!! We are currently building a new house, so a new sink and faucet would be absolutely fabulous right now! Since I’m a “decorate the rooms before the house is even built” type of gal, I have a pretty good idea of what we’re gonna do in our “dream house on a super tight budget” kitchen. I’ve always liked your pretty basic, neutral kitchen cabinets (white or maybe gray since I hear it’s the new beige – or black, whatever). To add a little color, I’m thinking stained concrete countertops in something outrageous…turquoise, lime green…(who knew you could color concrete in such crazy colors?). Also, since I have an 8 year old and a 2 year old, we always seem to end up with VERY colorful floors, cabinets, appliances, etc after we have an art session! Hey, what’s better than your kids artwork to liven up a space (even if nail polish can’t be removed without damaging the finish of our brand new appliances!

The first thing i did when I moved into our house was get rid of the ugliest yellow walls in our kitchen and living room and replace it with a dark grey. The rooms get a ton of light so the color looks great, especially with the accent wall of Martha Stewart Plummage.

We just repainted our old, faded yellow kitchen walls to a moody dark grey/blue. My red kitchenaid mixer and bowls (red is my favorite color) really pops against the darker color. But a new sink and faucet would be an awesome addition! Thanks!
