Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

I have brought color into my otherwise boring kitchen by painting & glazing my pantry doors. LOVE it – it brings so much life into the space.

I have recently started adding color to my kitchen with fun table runners. They are an easy way to change the look and feel of the table without any major color commitment.

    ADLER ME!

The painters are actually in my kitchen right now, neutralizing some really bold paint. I loved the bright purple color, but as we think about moving out of this home, it had to go. :( I’ll sew a bright valance for the window over the sink to add a little pizzaz to the space.

I have a large green tray from PB sitting on my kitchen island that has two colorfull vases (one orange from Anthro, one dark teal from Ikea) sitting on it. I also my colorful wine and champagne glasses from Anthro that wouldn’t fit inside my cabinets displayed on top of my kitchen cabinets. I live in a small one bedroom apartment, so it’s all about how you accessorize! (hoping to win the sink for my parent’s kitchen or bath!)

I painted the ceiling and down my walls 18″ in pumpkin orange. I know it sounds strange but I have 12 foot ceilings and it made the room feel less cavernous. :D

ADLER ME! My kitchen is one of the most colorful and subsequently one of my most favorite rooms in my house! We have grey walls, with an aqua blue, gray and green tile backsplash. The countertops and cabinets are white, and all of the appliances are white. We have a PURPLE accent wall that is adorned with a white mirror, some fun orange, yellow and green (vintage) mini-skillets, an antique rolling pin with distressed blue handles, and a fun lime green decorative heating rack. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE incorporating fun color into my kitchen.

Our kitchen color is in the process of being transitioned from 70s-80s (brown sink! gold floor! brown cooktop!) to grays, blues, and seafoam greens. We tiled the backsplash in white subway tile, and included horizontal strip of glass tile in those ocean-y colors.

I recently introduced color in my entryway by framing some colorful Anna Maria Horner fabric – a beautiful print in pinks, red, teal, turquoise, mustard, and brown. Perfect pop of color to set that palette for the rest of our home!

Shortly after purchasing my 1911 rowhouse, I came to home from work to find my mother directing the painters to paint the walls in my KITCHEN a soft mint green. Being my new bachelor pad I was horrified, now I love it! Mint green and electric blue are now the themes in my airy, colorful kitchen! As I get ready to replace the countertops, the timing couldn’t be more PERFECT for a new (possibly deep navy blue?? hmmm) Adler sink and faucet!
