Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    “ADLER ME!”

Our kitchen is the only room of our house with a non-neutral color on the walls. We bring in fun colors with bold (and change-able) accents.

ADLER ME! We’re attempting to de-color our kitchen from the previous owners who had a brick backsplash/cognac/weird gold thing going on in there. I think some white paint on the cabinets and trim, a nice grey on the walls, and possible some marbley looking tile should do the trick. Then some nice accessories in whatever colors catches me – I’m a yellow gal, but you never know!

    ADLER ME!

Well this is planing for the future as I am not currently a home owner, however I definitely have some ideas for what I want. Just like my vehicle I want color, not black, white or silver/grey, everybody’s got that. The greenwich green with the purist fauccet appeals to me the most. I’ve been shopping on Etsy for dishes, mugs etc to introduce color… purchased a “Summer Fruits Nesting Bowls” set recently, http://www.etsy.com/listing/98752312/summer-fruits-nesting-bowls-large-set-of.

Our kitchen is a light blue, with light wood cabinets and.. wait for it… pink countertops. Yeah, not my favorite. Don’t know who made that design choice before us, but someday we might get to change it. Otherwise, the palette is pretty open. A new sink might be a great excuse for new counters, right? :)

One of the best things I’ve added is adding red to our kitchen (red Kitchen Aid mixer stand, red containers, red towels, etc) to compliment our black granite (Go Dawgs!) Thanks for this opportunity!

I love bright happy colors, but I’ve been experimenting with adding colors that are softer with a touch of gray in them to make them more subtle. Would the picadilly yellow sink with soft gray walls be awesome? Yes, I think it would.

What the what?!?! We just happen to be slowly redoing our sad little galley kitchen and a new sink is on our to do list. We want to get rid of our scratched and ugly cream ceramic sink and get something new and improved. I am currently working on painting my once tea stained cabinets a lovely shade of grey which means we are also going to be changing our laminate counter tops to a newer more updated laminate. Something that looks expensive, but is more in our budget. Our kitchen is already an awesome shade of grass green, but I am also painting my laundry room a sky blue for a pop of color. We would LOVE a new sink to go with our new kitchen updates. That would take a nice chunk out of our kitchen redo budget.

Oh man. I would PASS OUT if I received one of these puppies to install in our new home!!! I LOVE color and I can’t wait to add pops of it in our new kitchen. We are having White cabinets with white subway tile and dark gray grout which gives us a great clean slate to add color to. Aqua marine penny tiles installed above our stove will bring in color and then I’ll use pops of orange & Yellow throughout the great room. The yellow sink would make our hearts sing <3.

    ADLER ME!

Since we are saving our benjamins for other projects at the moment, I am bringing color into our black and white (read: mid-century diner checkered floors AND countertops…it’s dizzying) kitchen by bringing in a pop of bright red in our towels and other accessories (red valance on the window, etc). It’s only a small, temporary fix, but it’s holding us over until the kitchen reaches the top of the project list!
