Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ALDER ME! (Please!)

Currently the only color in our kitchen is the brown of the old weathered wooden studs – as it is completely gutted! We are attempting a “DIY” kitchen renovation (at a rather slow pace, I might add!)

Our plan is for a white kitchen – but a colorful sink would bring a much needed punch of color to the clean new space! (I’m thinking green or yellow!)

We’re currently in the process of planning our new kitchen (taking a cramped 1980 split-level efficiency kitchen to a wide galley-style with a HUGE island), so we’re not investing in any color at the moment. When we’re ready to start decorating the new kitchen next summer, we’ll be storing dishes in a big glass-front vintage cabinet painted in a bright color (we’re thinking red or yellow) and adding pops of color with our growing art collection.

I’d love to add more color with one of the Adler sinks! I’ve been drooling over them since I first saw them!

ADLER ME! I think adding color into the kitchen is one of the easiest things to do in your home! I do it by having a warm color on the wall–currently it’s Calm Air by Behr which is a beige with a hint of yellow. It’s enough color to brighten the room. Pair it with some accent colors in your curtains (such as olive or red) and it really makes the room a wonderful place to be.

We painted our kitchen a gorgeous bluish-green color called woodlawn juniper…I’m totally in love with it! Now we just need to bring in some more pops of color to bring some more life (and paint the horrible cabinets white instead of honey oak, but that’s a project for another day…), how amazing would one of these sinks be! Not to mention the fact we are seriously in need of a new sink since our originally white (I think) sink is chipping and so stained (ugh!).

Adler Me – We just bought a house (a 50’s ranch), so the color in the kitchen is currently fruit themed wallpaper. As a result we’re planning on going neutral, but love the idea of a bright sink.

Right now our house is still under renovations with the kitchen at the bottom of the list! so we have a few pieces of art that are adding the pop of color until we find the time/money to keep going with the renos! Also during the summer we try to keep fresh cut flowers from the garden. We get a lot of sunlight so overall we are pretty bright and happy :)

We have lived in this house for 24 years…and over the past year, we have been updating several things. Would love a new kitchen sink!! :)
We have finally gotten the courage this past year to actually add COLOR to the walls that have always been Antique White…the kitchen now sports a morning sunshine color of Lemon Souffe…the upper cabinets got a new coat of the Antique White and the lower kitchen cabinets are being painted in grapevine green color (not as dark as that color sounds) they also have new, or repainted hardware. Splashes of lime green and yellow are throughout the house. We recently redid our guest bathroom with a seascape theme and it is so soothing to go in there…in fact, I would much rather bathe in there than in our master. ha
