Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

The kitchen is literally the center of our home and we selected a light, bright green color and for fun we painted the support beam a deep red. I was worried at first that it would feel like Christmas all year round, but not at all! We love the color combo!

I use accessories to add colour to a black and white kitchen; a green Kitchen aid mixer, Fiestaware canisters in vibrant colours, bright coloured dishes etc :)

ADLER ME! Our kitchen came with basic builder brown granite and some funky brown/tan glass tiles on the backsplash, so we’ve added a pop of turquoise with our mixer and red with our teapot. We swap out our dishtowels to add even more color when we feel like it, but could definitely stand to bring even more cheery color to our kitchen!

My kitchen is currently a minty green colour – not by choice. Everything in our house (walls, doors and trim) was minty green when we moved in last year. I’ve yet to attack the painting in the kitchen, but it’s certainly on my to-do list!

ADLER ME! We’re smack dab in the middle of a kitchen remodel, so we’re currently looking for ways to bring color in. So far, our pendants are fire engine red, but that’s as far as we’ve gotten. One of these sinks would look great with our new cabinets and countertops!

So fun! Most of the color in our kitchen is accidental “decorating” done by our toddler. Especially with all the yummy summer fruit, it’s hard to avoid the inevitable raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, watermelon finger-painting!

I have a completely open floor plan upstairs with only one diagonal wall that allows free flow into kitchen breakfast living, bar and dining area. Its really hard to decorate. I’ve taken my base pieces and have update pops of color in the pillows, Etsy art, items on shelves, etc. to freshen things up, even though the walls are still all white (Gasp!) For my kitchen, I’d like a shade over the sink with a trellis print in lime green or yellow, if possible.

The kitchen is one of my major problem areas as I’m trying to transition from a traditional Tuscan style design (blech, not my choice) to a brighter, happier modern cottage design. I’m in the process of selecting a yellow (maybe grellow!) paint for the walls and have been experimenting with robin’s egg blue accent pieces. One of these fabulous sinks would be wonderful as the pop of color I need to start making real progress!
