Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

I have an open kitchen so I have defined the space by painting the ceiling cobalt blue. I have a latin look to the room with lots of pottery and mexican tiles on the back splash.

I would love a new sink! my current one is from the rebuilding store and it’s a little funk tastic

Right now we have some (hideous!) burnt orange cabinets that thankfully are on their way out, but after we replace those we will need to find a more attractive color to add to the kitchen.

ADLER ME! The most colorful thing in our kitchen is our cabinets. They used to be heavily laquered yellow pine, but I sanded them and repainted them a lovely bright yellow (like butter intensified!). We also switched out the grungy brown hammmered bronze hardware for bright chrome. It’s still VERY 50s, but a lot happier! I would LOVE to put that gorgeous turquoise sink right in the middle of our sunny kitchen. It would match the original turquoise Kohler bathroom sink we have down the hall!

We have blue accents in our living room with pillows and lamps, greens with plants, candles, vases and bowls in the kitchen and bedroom and our new nursery has touches of yellow to go along with our forest animals! I keep a fresh vase of flowers on the kitchen table or counter to liven things up as often as I can :)

I added a backsplash to my kitchen that features just the right amount of yellow. It’s not a color I typically decorate with, but that small amount really perks things up (and makes me happy!)

When we moved into our home ten years ago, the kitchen had colonial blue painted cabinets with Hadley porcelain knobs. We’ve painted the cabinets white, added brick red, sage, and yellow. This fall we plan on gutting the room, opening a wall to the dining room, and adding fresh new color. Would love a chance at a new Kohler sink to start my project!

We have a great wood plank ceiling that we white-washed – my fav. DIY in our house. We also painted a wall in the kitchen red, but lately I’m wanting to brighten things up and head towards the Modern Country look, and get away from some of the “primitive” looks we have going on.

ADLER ME!!! We are just moved and are in process of updating ALOT of country brown to welcoming white. We have not touched our kitchen sink and counters. This would be just the thing we need to start since it is all that we have left in the kitchen besides painting our old piano yellow, yep we are going to pop some color on it and really make it sing!! (Yes, we have a piano in our eating area). It would go great with that yellow sink :)
