Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! Our kitchen has a pop of terracotta on the walls with deep gray cabinets – our house is an open floor plan, so you can see the kitchen, dining room, and living room all at the same time. The color pop (the other two areas are an off-white and tan color) helped make my favorite place stand out. Plus, we have to keep the counters fairly cleared thanks to my tall toddler. We are searching for a new home, and this would help us transform whatever kitchen we find into our space!

My kitchen walls are so blah right now but in the future I would love to paint them a pretty gray and even do a brighter stenciled focal wall. For now I love to have wheat grass growing in pretty containers for pops of bright green and also a few mason jars of colorful gummy bears sitting around!

My kitchen is lacking color! With maple cabinets and beige countertops it is time to bring in some color. My hope is to be able to put in a colorful backsplash. My culinary creations bring in the most color.

We’re about to purchase cabinets for our new home and we’re going with green! Not lightly stained green cabinets but full on painted green.

However, if we were to win a free sink and faucet, I think I could settle for some white cabinets with any one of those sinks.

Previously, all of our dishes, kitchen aid, small appliances have provided the color in our kitchen which in the past has been red. Since we’re starting completely fresh at the new place we thought we’d put the red in the cabinets and play up some other fun colors.

ADLER ME! I love to add color with food, like fruit in a bowl, and with serving dishes. I’m a little bit of a commitment-phobe with decorating so a few brightly colored dishes is a good way to add color that’s easily changed out when the mood strikes.

Our favorite way we’ve added color to our kitchen is our wall hangings–we picked up 5 great vintage picture frames from the thrift store. We spray painted the frames apple green and the glass with chalkboard paint. Now they add pops of color AND functionality!

I’m still trying to figure out how to add more color to our kitchen. We’ve been in our house a year now and it’s brown, brown, brown! The biggest splashes my walls see are from the thrown spaghetti sauce my toddler hurls at it.

A sink would definitely help liven it up in there. Thanks for the giveaway!
