Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

I painted one wall a reddish hue of terra cotta. I had Home Depot mix it 3 times before I found one that worked. I have pops of color in bowls and vases on display. And there are always cut flowers since I have a cut flower business and test vase life and arrangements in my own home. Right now there are three green glass vases with long stalks of dill flowers in them.

Adler me! I painted one accent wall in my kitchen a rich shade of red the exact color of my tired old counters. That $30 can of paint pepped up my counters for another 8 years. We’re finally re-doing the whole kitchen this fall. I’m still trying to decide what color to pick for the Kohler Iron-Tones smart-divide sink I’ve picked out. Annapolis Navy is leading the pack because it’s so close to the mixed blue glass mosaic I put in my bathroom, but that yellow is a close second because it is just so happy.

    ADLER ME!

When graduated from our basement apartment to an actual house (windows, windows, windows!), I went a little overboard in celebration and slapped saturated, minty green throughout the kitchen. It turned out to be a big mistake and we’ve since graduated to a more mature, creamy color, but stayed bold with an ice blue, gray, and off white glass and porcelain back-splash. If we won, I’d love to replace our stainless steel sink with a bold, blue apron one – there is so much more to do!

ADLER ME! I’m in the middle of a slow-going kitchen makeover now; grey walls repainted and pulling in orange accents from the adjoining family room. Next step is repainting oak-grain cabinets a bright white – can’t wait! (Thanks, BTW, for your inspiration and tutorials so I can finally git ‘er done!)

Our kitchen is a merlot red which accents the sagey green walls in the living room next to it, however, that’s it. There’s nothing in our kitchen that really makes it pop. And our faucet is broken, so this would be timely and perfect!

how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen?
currently? we’ve got pretty red and white valences, but since we’re thinking of re-doing the kitchen, it’s kind of a blank slate right now.

Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls?
if white in a kitchen is considered bold, then yes, we did. ;P

Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter?
    i do! flowers are lovely.

Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
it usually is, actually. i like colorful food. ^.^-b
