Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

I have a greenish-yellow kitchen that I’ve added pops of orangish-red in by way of vintage kitchen utensils and pottery. I’m thinking of painting the stools the same color, but haven’t had the guts yet!

    ADLER ME!!

We’ve been slowly moving away from the earthtones we originally painted the entire house (Mustards, tans, greens, and greens) and have finally started pulling color in (My son’s big boy room has just been painted a welcoming Teal). I’m also trying to bring bright and colorful art in, via my amazing artist friends, as well as brushing my own art degree off and painting some myself!

I am currently bringing color into my kitchen through red kool-aid spills on the floor, rainbow-colored crayon marks on the walls, and a bit of blue-green fuzz growing on my bread.

However, I’d like to bring in some color in some more Kohler-type ways ;-)

Adler me! :) to make the really bold statement in our kitchen we decided to paint the kitchen red- and nice bold red. As well as throw in some textured and patterned red accessories ( like ourutensil holder, textiles etc). However with such a gorgeous sink… I’d have no problem changing the paint color to match! :) a nice crisp grey would work well with that beautiful navy sink! :)

Our kitchen is pretty neutral right now. It is a tiny kitchen so I’m afraid to bring in too much color. But I have a few accessories that add a little bit of pop. We plan on removing the florescent lighting and putting in a sputnik chandelier and I will paint that area almost that Palermo Blue.
