Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

We’re bringing color into our kitchen by using all the cobalt glass and yellow-flower photography I’ve collected over the years. It’s not done yet (we actually have to replace the sink and finish painting the cabinets, ha), but it’s getting there….

Whether I like it or not, color is infused all over our current kitchen; just imagine color circa 1970… Hence the reason why I am commenting. This sink and faucet could set the stage for our entire kitchen redesign, which is planned for early 2013!

Our kitchen rug is where all the color’s at! Its got hot pink, orange, yellow, green, teal, and brown in a bold floral pattern (from Urban Outfitters).

Also, I’m obsessed with Jonathan Adler’s art and am super-psyched about this giveaway…and YHL in general.

ADLER ME! Our kitchen is still the way it was when we moved in five years ago – the “move-in ready” house has needed a new roof, new furnace, new hot water heater, new sewage pipe and now we need to rebuild the chimney and fireplace face so… The kitchen is the same. The most personal touch is my ceramic compost crock on the counter that I use everyday, with its thin line of blue reminding me of the blue accents I’d love to add to my kitchen.

ADLER ME!! I just bought curtains for my living room that match those colors. Thinking about painting my kitchen using bring yellow for accents. If I had that yellow sink, I definitely wouldn’t mind washing dishes. You guys are great. Thanks for all the inspiration. I was even thinking about going for a neutral color maybe gray on the walls and then doing a painted chevron in yellow under the cabinets as a back splash.

ADLER ME! I’m less than two months away from my wedding day. My husband-to-be already rents/lives in my childhood home where I will be joining him. We don’t have much money to spruce things up so this sink would be totally awesome because we have plans for citrus colors (lime green, pale yellow, and oranges) Or, we can always spin another way with lime green walls and blue colors (sea glass colors) because I registered for a bunch of awesome beach inspired towels and dishes (We live in Virginia Beach.) So, in the near future, we will be adding pops of color with our kitchen accessories and gadgets we receive as gifts. Thanks! *fingers crossed*
