Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

Currently have sunny yellow walls, but plan to paint the walls a warm gray and then highlight my favorite lime green and teal accents & kitchen stuff! Grabbed some giant faux fruit from Home Goods that are Granny Smith apple color – appropriately 2 apples & a pear – they can’t wait for a spot in the kitchen!

ADLER ME!!!! ME MEMEMEMMEMEMEMEEEEEE!!! Currently our kitchen is crap, with the main splashes of color happening when someone spills something. BUT – we’re getting white Ikea cabinets and a white countertop and dark new floors (not stalkers, I swear) and are going to bring color in via fun dish towels, a few pretty bowls and perhaps a purple ceramic chicken.

My kitchen is currently painted a terra cotta shade, which is a bad choice for a kitchen with one north-facing window. I plan on painting it in November Skies when I redo, especially if I can score cabinets painted Bedford Gray.

We have chosen a couple of paint colors (yellow ochre, burnt red and a mocha color) to paint on accent walls in the kitchen, open dining room area and living room (we have an open plan on the first floor of our house) to pull everything together. I also have a (secret) obsession with succulent plants, so I have placed some of my favorites strategically around the kitchen in areas where I spend most of my time (sink, counter space for prep).

ADLER ME! I envision bringing some color into my currently stark white kitchen by painting my pantry door a “happy” color like yellow. And what better way to tie it in than with a happy-colored sink and brand new faucet?! Totally cute, if you ask this color-lovin’ gal. Soo…

ADLER ME! (Please…) In our tiny white kitchen, I bring in color with some old Correlle dishes that remind me of my grandparents home, and pops of bright color in accessories. Lately, I’ve also been adding more fresh summer fruit in a big bowl on the counter – better for our health, plus makes the kitchen look more cheerful (bonus!).
