Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!!!

I painted my kitchen walls Harbor Grey by Benjamin Moore and then brought in hints of lime green. I bought a pretty lime green lacquer tray for the kitchen table and then I put a utensil crock on the counter in lime. I also added some kitchen towels that are lime. Its so fun and I love the pop of color!! Great giveaway!

The most colorful thing in my kitchen are bright olive oil tins that I collect – they are so pretty to look at, and add a nice flea market vibe to our otherwise modern space.

ADLER ME!!! I am a huge fan of color, definitely not afraid of it. We just moved to Utah from Montana and are closing on a house in a couple of weeks and I am SO excited to take it from boring beige to fun, colorful ME. There will be color on the walls with pops of color throughout the rooms. Love teals, yellows, blues, grays basically all cool colors vs warm tones :)

ADLER ME! I have a kitchen that is just waiting to be transformed…some day soon hopefully. I need to renovate before installing the new refrigerator (that’s been in the garage for the last 10 months) I love color. Right now a big punch of color is from a giant vase ofbright red gladiolas. I’m hoping that they will withstand the new kitten in the house.

We’ve chosen pretty neutral grey tones throughout our home in terms of paint, we we definitely try to add color through accents, whether its a bright red side chair, a purple vase or new bold fabric for the cushions of our dining room chairs.

    ADLER ME!
Our whole house is painted a couple shades of baby-blue, but desperately needs a paint job and some color! The kitchen is subtly decorated in a strawberry theme, and one day we intend to remodel and paint/tile to bring that theme to the forefront. Right now it’s all hand towels and a floor mat, plus a lot of the utensils and such that are living hiding in drawers. But we’re building a red pot rack to hang off the ceiling! I’m just starting to get the jitters with it because since planning the pot rack we discovered that 17 years ago, the developer used the cheapest possible drywall you can imagine! I can make dents in it with my thumb! So we’re reconsidering our plan for hanging the pot rack, making sure to get rafters and not any electrical wiring.

Ahh the life of a DIYer.
