Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

The inspiration for our kitchen came from the lovely mixer that we received as a wedding present. It’s a soft blue and we just knew that we needed our kitchen to match it. This is our first home and it has been such an inspiration to visit Young House Love for my daily creativity fix. Thanks!!

We’re currently in pre-renovation mode (budget renovation), so I don’t have much decorating going on in the kitchen, but I do leave my bright red colander out for a little bit of zing.

ADLER ME! Even before we bought our house, I knew I wanted a bright kitchen. Now we have a warm, gold tone that I love and looks great with the original dark trim in our 1923 Cape Cod. Now if only I had new cabinets, countertops, and a sink…

I have a cabinet I removed the doors on, then put trim around the opening (so it looked “on purpose” open) and then lined the back with colorful graphic fabric.

ADLER ME, ADLER ME, ADLER ME!

Our cabinets are white with glass fronts and mirrored backs so we use lots of color in other places like our dinnerware and glassware! When the light hits our wine glasses, beautiful colors are projected. Our fixtures are also colored glass and we tie it all together with a bright rug on our oak floor.

ADLER ME!! So, at the moment we’re renting an old farmhouse and this past winter I just couldn’t handle the kitchen anymore. Thankfully the cabinets had been painted white and really didn’t look to bad, but the countertops…oh my stars, the countertops! They were like an awful peach color. I knew we weren’t going to spend money to have them replaced so I decided to paint them and OH MY WORD has it made such a huge difference. I won’t go into the whole process even though it was alot easier than I thought it was going to be and I would definitely recommend it for others wanting a serious change for cheap. But anyway, we have light gray walls, white cabinets and kind of granite looking counters. My dream is concrete counters, but this is a good fix for now. I would love a bright yellow or blue sink for our kitchen!

“ADLER ME!” … I’m definitely color challenged. My house is all neutrals: cream, beige and grey walls, white and tan tile, etc. A pop of color would be crazy for us, but it’s much needed. I really like the deep blue sink pictured.

ADLER ME! We moved into our house about nine months ago and I’ve been dying to give the kitchen more personality. Right now the sink is a terrible builder’s grade that I’d love to replace.

Right now my color is in the accessories like towels and hot pads and art on the fridge. Need more color!

    “ADLER ME!”

I am currently bringing color into my kitchen with a bold painted backsplash and some vibrantly colored artwork. I am not one for vases of flowers although it would liven things up a bit. While my culinary creations are always tasty, they miiiight not be the most presentable things in the world. Oh well.

    ADLER ME!

When we moved into our 1920 bungalow everything (everything!) was painted a dull cream colour. Ceilings, walls, woodwork and trim…

We are finally emerging from the cream nightmare! Lots of colour around the house. We recently painting the kitchen cabinetry bright white and did the walls in a lovely light blue. Trying to decide on a ceiling colour now to cover up the… yes, cream.

Well, our little kitchen already has some color… and not the one that I’d pick. It is ugly purple, I hope to redo it this coming winter to a more cheerful and cleaner look, say sea glass and white. Possibly some light grey and some splashes of bright color with small appliances. But having a kid still in college it might be pushed a little into the future ;)

ADLER ME!!! We are newlyweds and new homeowners. Our home is bright!! The former owners painted the entire interior of our house various shades of yellow!!! To introduce even more color (in different shades) we use paintings and vases. We want to redo our countertops and paint our cabinets but we don’t know where to start!!
