Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

A full, partially DIY, kitchen remodel is at the top of our 1-year list for our new house. We can’t wait to ditch the boring, brown toned colors for a bright white with pops of color kitchen! What a great way to start with one of these sinks!

We have warm gray walls and honey-oak cabinets- but the fun is in the colors: green and white fabric on recovered chairs that are from a kitchen table set of my grandmothers, bright green and yellow striped dish towels, fresh flower stems and tealight candles on the kitchen window and my favorite- a framed bumper sticker that has bright yellow accents that reads: “love people, feed them tasty food” – which we do, all the time!

    This is a fantastic giveaway!
Our kitchen is a work in progress – the cabinets are a very deep red cherry, and the counters and floor are a flecked black and beige granite, so it is pretty dark in there! We just painted the walls a warm beige a few weeks ago, and my dream is to paint the cabinets to get away from the red tones. I like calming blues and greens! This giveaway would rock my kitchen’s socks!

ADLER ME! This is an amazing collaboration. Anyway, I’m in the middle of trying to pick a new paint color for my kitchen. The problem is that I want to paint the cabinets so everything is at a standstill until I decide if I’m going to take the plunge. However, the sink would be a jumping off point and I could definitely make my mind up from there. The sinks are amazing and the faucets are beautiful!!

    ADLER ME!

When we bought our condo, the entire downstairs was painted midnight denim. O_O It ALL had to go! So instead, I painted very neutral whites and taupes throughout the house…except for the kitchen! I made that little sucker pop with bright lime green behind the bright white cabinets! Then I added just a few poppy-red accents (tea kettle, pot holders, fruit bowl). Sounds like it clashes, but it WORKS SO WELL! Everyone that comes over to our house always reacts the same way: “Your kitchen is the happiest place in the world!” Exactly what a kitchen should be. :-)

•BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?

ADLER ME! I’ve added pops of blue to my kitchen with wall art, curtains, and the rug. But I don’t like it! I’d like to switch to a color that complements food better, like green or yellow. Food doesn’t look as nice with blue, in my opinion.
