Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! Wow, those sinks and faucets are gorgeous – what fun colors! Unfortunately, I’ve just realized that my kitchen is actually very much lacking in color. I think I would have to say my cooking and baking adds the most color to my kitchen. Although I do have a set of beautiful ceramic mixing/ serving bowls from Crate and Barrel which are nice and colorful. Thanks for another awesome giveaway!

We have a robin’s egg blue accent wall. I love that it isn’t the whole kitchen so I can change the wall (and my dish towels – because who doesnt like pretty new dish towels) any time I want and be in a new space.

ADLER ME! We just moved and our inherited kitchen has white cabinets with black granite countertops and a sky blue glass subway tile backsplash. It looks as mis-matched as it sounds! We like to add pops of color with textiles like dishtowels, placemats and napkins. Before they were gently dried in the sun, we also had lots of blue hydrangea from our new yard!

Im working with a very boring kitchen in my 60s rancher! I painted the cabinets white and the walls are a dusty blue, so I could certainly use that pop of turquoise in a sink, and those faucets…oh my!

ADLER ME! Funny the first thing we are doing to put color into our kitchen is to take color out. We have this old house with terrible hunter green cabinets. I am scraping paint little by little and we are painting the cabinets white. Then we plan on Gray walls with bright yellow accents (yellow is my favorite so I bet you know which sink color I am swooning over)

ADLER ME! I actually love to bring color into the kitchen through the use of dish towels! Most of my small appliances are black (like kitchen aid, utensil crock, toaster over, coffee maker, etc.) and we got these series of dish towels from crate and barrel that are bright green, aqua, yellow, and red so I like to switch those out because it makes our kitchen so fun and cheery!

Everything changed in our kitchen when I painted the Red-wine colored walls a fresh mint color. (Winterfresh by Behr). I also used a Granny Smith apple green as an accent color. I’m ready to get new countertops and can only imagine how amazing one of those sinks would look !!

ADLER ME!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! We are in the midst of trying to “liven u” our very small kitchen without spending much. I am going with a retro look and the most recent pop of color would have to be the “big fork and spoon” i found at an antique shop that was already painted red!! I would adore a new sink and faucet!!!!!!!!!!!

ADLER ME!! The most colorful thing in my kitchen is actually my backsplash. I live in an artsy neighborhood and the previous owners put in a backsplash that is basically a mix of tiles in different colors and sizes including yellow, aqua, purple, blue, black, white, tan… It’s kinda awesome.

We are redoing the kitchen in our 1950s home and are going with a “Green” countertop. And by Green, I mean recycled glass, wine and beer bottles set in concrete and brushed with a dark glaze. The kicker? The glass is green and amber colored (think green winebottles and sam adams beer bottles).
