Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME!! We’ve got anthropologie dish towels as cafe curtains at the moment — 2 matching ones for the windows above the sink, and a fringed lovely single at our back door window :) Reds + yellows + browns, but I am ready to move to blue (PALERMO BLUE!)!

We just bought a new to us house and it already has beautiful blue and white tile. I plan on using that for inspiration.

    Adler me!

We just painted the kitchen in our new house. Used to be an ugly light yellow color, with brighter and equally ugly yellow cabinets. Half the walls are now white and the other half (including the backsplash area) are a deep rich midnight blue. The cabinets are bright white, which contrast so so well with the dark blue. I also made DIY roman blinds with a bright colorful bird print. It looks AMAZING! It would look even more awesome with a new sink and faucet ;)

We have plenty of color in our kitchen with the original yellow laminate countertops and stovetop from the seventies. I can’t wait to replace it down the road with a more neutral color to go with our light blue walls.

We painted our horrible oak cabinets a pretty light blue, added polished nickel hardware and my husband made dark grey concrete countertops. It looks totally different! Now I can add turquoise or yellow or orange accents for whatever different mood I am in!

I tend to go with saturated wall paint colors and keep my bigger pieces of furniture neutral. I also use a lot of color and I think my house feels cohesive because the color saturation is similar in every room even if the colors are different. I also use small pops of red everywhere.
