Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

OMG! I am using all of these colors in my house. But I think my choice would be narrowed down to Picadilly Yellow as that is far and away my favorite color.

Right now color is just via accessories. But I would love to make the walls bolder… or potentially even the countertops!

Adler Me! The color in our kitchen isn’t what I would call a “good” color. Basically our counter tops are old, from 1992 and a great country powder blue. Aw yeah baby…so, if we were to win such an awesome sink, it would go a long way to help us get closer to our kitchen remodel!

My brother painted our dining room and kitchen as a long overdue wedding present. Oh he probably wishes he never offered to do that. The dining room is a peacock blue and that was piece of cake for him. And then there was the kitchen that was originally a glossy pea soup green and had a glossy white ceiling. He put down two coats of primer and then ended up painting the walls five times. Yep five times with Lemon Twist by Sherwin Williams. I am lucky he is still speaking to me after picking out that color.

I have bright kelly green on the walls. With tall windows, oak cabinets, and white countertops/backsplash/appliances, it makes a small kitchen seem SO spacious and full of color. Of course, contrasting accessories help, too :)

ADLER ME!! Our house is still one neutral beige color (provided and painted by the builder) with the exception of a chalkboard wall in the office and I am dying to bust out the rollers and brushes!! The only color in our kitchen so far is an awesome teal color by means of an old spray-painted wine rack (that I just found out was a wedding gift to my folks 30+ years ago) and some dish towels.
