Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! We recently moved into a home and are making changes throughout. I bring color into the kitchen with pictures, flowers and most recently I bought some Krylon Fusion (for plastic) spray paint to use on the light fixture–so excited to see how it turns out!

    ADLER ME!

While the kitchen itself is neutral in terms of cabinetry, wall color, and tile, we have added a great deal of color in the furnishings and accessories. We have four red lucite barstools, a turquoise magnet board that hung in my grandmother’s kitchen, and a booth with red, orange, and aqua cushions and cafe curtains made by a dear friend. A new sink would be a great way for us to introduce color into the actual structure of the kitchen itself, as we haven’t yet tackled remodeling as much as we’d like!

ADLER ME! We are in the process of sprucing up the kitchen (we moved in about 5 months ago) and while I’m painting the cabinets white we’ve decided to do a nice contrast on the walls either a deep blue or a golden-y yellow, we haven’t picked between them yet!

“ADLER ME!” I’m in the mist of moving and have so many wonderful ideas, thanks to PINTEREST and your website, on how to add colors to the new house. I’m so excited, but I’ll start small by adding vibrant and colorful accessories and then maybe move to wall color! I find that little trinkets and accessories can make just a big of statement as a painted room.

I took a shelf from Ikea and painted the back of it with a teal/aqua color with glass paint. Once it cured I put it up as the back splash to my stove. I was so excited that the tempered glass shelf was only $10 and fit perfectly in the spot and added the pop of color I had been hoping for!

ADLER ME! Ok, let me just say that I would die, DIE, if I won this. I don’t know what it is, but I have a thing for sinks and faucets. It’s one of the first things I swap out when moving into a new home. My husband thinks I’m crazy. I think I do a lot of dishes so it makes total sense. ;-)

p.s. I have red counter tops, so that adds a LOT of color in the kitchen. :)
