BONUS Fab Freebie: The YHL Baby Pool!

Sherry’s officially three weeks from her due date (May 19th) so we thought it was about time we started a fun little baby pool around here. And like any traditional baby pool, we’re taking guesses about when the beanette will be arriving…

But our little YHL twist is that this baby pool comes with a special home decor-tastic prize: an $100 gift card to West Elm! We realize it’s not a particularly baby-themed freebie, but we wanted everyone (with or without a bean) to be excited to play. And needless to say we were beyond thrilled when the kind folks at West Elm offered up an amazingly generous gift card to one lucky reader. We couldn’t love their stuff more. Seriously.

So here’s how it’s gonna work:

  • Comment on this post with the DATE that you think our baby girl will arrive. No need to guess times or weights (well you can but we won’t be judging those). And for fun feel free to toss out your favorite West Elm item these days.
  • We’ll leave the pool open for guesses until we announce Baby P’s arrival, so guess now or take your chances waiting (bearing in mind that we won’t be disclosing the exact moment she’s born, so you do risk losing if you hold out too long).
  • Once we’ve recuperated after D-Day (delivery day), we’ll use random.org to select ONE RANDOM WINNER out of everyone who guessed the right date.
  • The prize (aka: a $100 gift card to West Elm) is available to everyone in the USA. And, as usual, only one entry per email address is permitted.

Have fun with your predictions everyone – at this point your guesses are as good as ours!

    I’m guessing June 8th. First babies are often late and this one is even more anticipated (by the whole blog following) than usual so I think that will make her stubborn. Besides, I was three weeks late to my own 0th birthday party. Congratulations by the way!

    May 25th > Was tempted to guess May 16th, since that is our first year anniversary, however you are still carrying pretty high, so I think that baby P will be a tad late.

    May 16th. Best wishes for your delivery and this new stage in your lives.
    And as for my favorites from West Elm, it’s hard to pick one, but I’m in need of some curtains and rugs, and I just love their day beds, one would look great anywhere in my house.

    When you said baby pool I thought you meant Sherry was doing an at home water birth!! Ha ha!
    Sherry, you look awesome. I have 3 kids, 1 plus twins and I was always pregnant from head to toe but you’re all belly.
    Ok, since this is your first baby I’m going to say that you’ll be really close to your due date. In fact, I bet your doc will want to induce you on Tues May 17th.

    I’m not too familiar with West Elm but now I’m hooked! I’m really into getting pops of yellow in my living room right now so I’m going to need that GORG slipper chair soooo I need to win so I can buy it, K?

    May 23rd! Sherry, I’m starting to think you are the most perfect human being in the world. You have the most adorable house and family, the best taste ever, fabulous writing skills and you might be the cutest pregnant girl alive. I mean, you look like you’ll have 2 pounds to lose after you give birth. How did you do that??

      Haha no way Meg! I’ve already gained over 35 lbs with this girl! My cute 4’11” mom put on 40 with me and my brother… and it looks like that’s in the cards for me too. I’m flattered that everyone things I’m looking good though. I certainly feel a bit heavier on my feet these days but it’s all for a good cause!

    may babies are the best! may 19th! I would use the gift card to purchase a butler tray and stand. i have been coveting it for so long different color trays have come and gone… :)
