Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

I am dying to make another set of curtains. Just used your no-sew method and they turned out great! I am now searching craigslist for a sewing machine for the next set. :)

Stencil me! I made a cross stitch piece that I framed, and I’d like to make a few more so it feels more like an art series.

STENCIL ME! I got quite good at painting, but so far have had limited success with other DIY endeavors. So, I would say painting would be the project I’d like to do again.

STENCIL ME! I just refinished some stools and now I want to refinish and upholster a bench for our entryway! I’ve been dying to stencil the back of a bookcase though!

    Stencil Me!

I successfully white-washed a tv-stand and coffee table for our living room, and am looking forward to trying it again on a dresser in our bedroom – this time with a possibly more colorful twist!

    Stencil me!

I almost gave up blogging and DIYing all together when I hit a big road bump trying to hang my own curtains. But I moved on, posted about it, and I’ve decided to put that on pause until we own a house. That is so one of the first things that I will do! And to bring it full circle I would LOVE to have a stencil or two that I could use to stencil curtains for that eventual project!

I made some awesome curtains (lined, hidden tab) when we moved into our house two years ago. I have been dying to make some more! Now that we are getting started on a bathroom refresh, I think I have my chance! Loving this giveaway – I have been hoping to stencil one of our bathroom walls.

We wallpapered our ceilings in our first house with Bradbury and Bradbury paper and I would love to find a place for it in the house we live in now.

STENCIL ME! Well we just got done painting our bathroom for the 3rd time, so I’m not looking forward to that again. I am looking forward to crafting for the holidays!
Can’t wait to see you in Minneapolis this week!

I recently created a headboard for our guest room (thanks to your wonderful tutorial of your master headboard), and would LOVE to do another one! It’s amazing how much a new headboard can tie a whole room together!
