Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

STENCIL ME! I am new transplant from the burbs of San Francisco to Los Angles, thanks to my fiancee, and haven’t found a job, yet… so DIY to rescue my boredom! I have painted my bathroom black, attempted to make my own his & hers desk, decorate a vanity nook, and my next inspiration from your blog stencil ceiling OR wall!

In the past I tried stenciling little flourishes in the corners of my bathroom & made them 3-D to add more of an effect & loved it!!! Since seeing this blog I’m inspired to paint an Art Deco/Art Nouveau pattern on my walls and started to research this and came across this site & I love it! So in short I’m dying to stencil again!

I once attempted to no-sew my own shades using a hot glue gun and after a few months the shades came apart. I want to tackle it again using Sherry’s approach!

I’m dying to do some more artwork in my place… or something like a stenciling project to bring more interest to my new step-in pantry… so this would be RIGHT up my alley. PLEASE!?!? ;)

PS – So great to see you guys in Chicago on Saturday. It was a ton of fun and I can’t wait to dig into the book now that I have it in my possession!

Stencil me! I recently did a herringbone pattern on my ceiling with painters tape. Ready to tackle a painted floor much like your sunroom in my laundry room!

“STENCIL ME!” I’d love to do another room with an accent wall. Pulling together paint colors, curtains, and decorations is fun in a room with more than one color on the walls/ceiling!

I loved redoing some hand me down dressers with paint and a little decorative stickers- stencils are next on the list for the next dressers!

STENCIL ME! I’d love to re-do our first paint project of our family room. It needs some love, walls are nicked up from our fur babies, plus a fun/new design and color would be Ah-mazing!

Another bathroom remodel! More because of the state of our current main bathroom than the enjoyment of the task, but either way, I am excited to tackle a second bathroom!
