Some Super Classy Curb Appeal

We had the best idea for taking our home’s curb appeal to the next level. Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you, the gloriously fabulous front yard fountain of our dreams! We know what you’re thinking. You can’t believe how swanky and high-end that fountain looks. Especially in front of our modest brick ranch. It’ll make our house look like a million bucks!

Fountain House Photoshop

Isn’t that fantastic? Are you guys chomping at the bit to get one of your own? Oh and one more question. Do you remember what day it is? HAPPY APRIL FOOLS!

    Hey ya’ll!
I tried to find a place on the website where I could ask a question and couldn’t…just wanted to see if you knew how to paint plaster walls? Is it any different? My husband and I just bought a house from the 20’s and want to repaint the interior….any thoughts would be great!
    Thanks!

Nope, we have plaster walls so it’s the same process as painting drywall, you might just need one more coat since plaster tends to suck paint up (our walls always need two coats but that’s pretty par for the course so we don’t mind). Hope it helps!

Nope, the beanette’s name will be a surprise (to friends, family and even us) since we’re waiting to see what name fits her when we meet her in May. Stay tuned…

I kept reading the first few lines thinking I had to be missing something, April Fools day what a relief. We go past a home on our way to a friends home and they have a huge fountain in front of their modest size home. I have almost taken out a curb because I am in such disbelief but to each their own, the owners have to love it right or it wouldn’t be there.

I’m hoping no one has said this yet, but if you haven’t seen it, go watch the SNL skit with Scarlett Johannson and Ryan Reynolds about buying a PORCELAIN FOUNTAIN!

One of the funnier things I’ve seen on that show, and it would suit your April Fool’s Day post perfectly!

These fountains are quite common in New Mexico…a kind of Mexican landscaping feature that’s made its way north across the border, along with ceramic suns and lizards adorning the stucco walls of houses.

O.M.G… Like, that is the coolest fountain EVER! You guys should, like, totally put that in your yard. But if you do that you’ve like totally got to put a full size statue of David on your porch, right? And you’re totally going to like, need a circular driveway to like, really show of the awesomeness of your new super kla$$y fountain.
    Have fun with that!

I haven’t had time to read all the comments but get the impression that the fountain is an April Fool joke. I hope so. In my opinion, fountains belong in parks–large parks! I’ve never commented on your blog before but check it often. I’m originally from Virginia but live in Chicago now. My husband and I think that we might retire to Richmond (although I’m from the Shenadoah Valley). Love the “old town” area.

    Best,
