Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

West Me! Love the things you posted- it would be hard to decide what to choose!

4 years ago, I was freshly divorced, in debt and struggling. In the last 4 years, I have changed jobs (within my company) 3 times- all upward. I have bought a house on my own and have gotten completely out of debt. All good stuff here!

Hi Y’all! West Me! Love the blog—read it every day! Our lives changed lots since 2007, including building a house, moving to another state, partially retiring, and having two more grandbabies, making five in seven years in our son and daughter-in-love’s family! So much to be thankful to God for. Love that you share so much of your real life with us. Congrats on your four years blogging!

Well I’m still in school, now in my 4th year of a PhD program as opposed to finishing up college and spending a year in China. So, new place, new beau, new local, but same old desire to be done with school!

It was only upon thinking about that question that I realize how much my life has changed in the last four years. I graduated from law school, passed 2 bar exams, got married, move to Virginia, had a beautiful baby girl and am expecting our second little girl in February. Whew!

WEST ME! Congrats on the anniversary and thanks for the oh so fabulous giveaway. Life is so different in 4 short years…same job…same house but many more projects underway now that the kids are a bit older and I’m seeing more possibilities now that their stuff is a bit more containable (those ipods and cell phones are so much smaller than buckets of legos, etc.) But that bass and cello in the living room are quite the decorating challenge…oh well. Congrats again!

    WEST ME !!!!!

Man, I’ve lived in 5 different houses/apartments in the last four years, got a job in my field, and then realized I don’t like the job/it’s not worth being away from all my friends/family and most importantly my boyfriend who I was actually broken up with this time 4 years ago. We got back together and have been doing the long distance for over 3 years now. I’m in the process of moving back in with him to start a real life together. So lots of changes. I’m actually really inspired by you guys to start my own blog to chronicle all the improvements I hope to do to our house once I move back. So, thanks for being awesome! :)

Since 2007, my twin sister and I have moved from our small starter apartment into a new house. It actually used to be our grandparents home, but they have since passed away. Although they are no longer with us, our family still gets to keep making great memories in a home that already holds so many happy ones for us. $500 to spend at West Elm would be a great way to add some much needed modern design to a classic old home.
    Happy Blogiversary you two!

Gosh 4 years ago, almost to the DAY, I had just moved to a new city (subletting), landed a new job by the skin of my teeth, and broken up with the dude I had moved to said new city for. EVERYTHING was up in the air at that point. Now I’m living in a great place with a steady boyfriend and dog, and although I’ve just started a new job, I’m much more on my feet than I was before! And I have a permanent residence that I could ABSOLUTELY stuff to the gills with $500 in West Elm goods :)
