Fab Freebie: Tool’s In Session

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random winner of lots of goodies from Liquid-Plumr is… Maria (who is actually applying for her PhD in global health diplomacy right now – a self declared “nerdfest”). Congrats!

Raise your hand if you’d like a $150 gift card to Home Depot and a 145-piece tool set? Okay, hands down. We can’t see you anyways. But one of you is going to score those supplies along with two of Liquid-Plumr’s latest clog-busting products. It’s all part of their Tool School, which puts Toolbelt Diva Norma Vally behind the teacher’s desk and includes how-to videos like the one below. Enroll now and you might just know what to do with all 145 tools that are up for grabs…

  • PRIZE: A $150 gift card to Home Depot, a 145-piece tool set, and Liquid-Plumr Double Impact and Disposal & Drain Foaming Cleaner
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “SCHOOL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could go to school to earn any degree you wanted right now, what would you study? Would you try something new and exciting? Or follow the same career path that you may have already taken?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 18th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Video courtesy of Liquid-Plumr.

    SCHOOL ME!!

I would go back to school to study Architecture. My dad encouraged me to when I was selecting a major back in the day, but I didn’t listen (I thought it would be difficult to get a job after graduating) and studied engineering instead. While I don’t hate my current career path, it’s not a passion for me, like Architecture would have been. Once of my biggest regrets in life…

There are so many interesting possibilities I think I could spend a lot of time going back to school amassing several different degrees. When applying to colleges as a teenager I really wanted to go to Westminister Choir College, but chickened out about moving so far away from home (I lived in South Florida at the time) and ended up going to a college just a few miles from home so that I didn’t even have to live in a dorm. I changed my major three times when I was in college – started as a music major, switched to elementary education and then to liberal arts before I dropped out to have my children. When my younest son was being recruited by MIT (and he was unethusiastic about it) I said to my husband, forget sending the kid! I want to go to MIT!!! Now that I’m older and more adventurous I would love to go to Westminster, MIT, and the CIA (Culinary Institute of America).
