Fab Freebie: This Is Your Pilot Writing

***This giveaway  is now closed – see who won below! ***

Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

Pilot Pen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Pilot.="nofollow">

Only use Pilot pens. Either the G-2 in 07 or 05 and only in black. Wow that makes me sound like a huge snob. What can I say? I like what I like.

PILOT ME! As a waitress and student, I constantly have pens on me. I love a smooth writing clicky pen for doing school work or taking orders, but Sharpie pens are my fave for sketching. Usually I do my journaling in Moleskine notebooks! They’re fabulous!

I became addicted to Pilot pens when I started my first real job out of college. Our office manager would only let you order 1-2 pens at a time (really Eleanor?) so I would covet these whenever she was feeling particularly generous with the office supplies.

P.S.) Just for fun, I pinned some pics of how I take notes, and tagged Sherry. I wonder if anyone else wants to play? :o)

    PILOT ME!

I’m and architect, and therefore can be pretty picky about my pens. I LURVE the Pilot Razorpoint and I get super excited when its time to hit the supply room at work for a new one. Nerd much? I make a ton of lists both on paper and on my phone.

I keep a ballpoint pen and a small notebook in the diaper bag (which doubles as my purse) at all times. It’s the keeper of my to-do lists, grocery lists, things to remember, etc… I’d be a goner without it.

I write my grocery list on paper with whatever is laying around. I cringe at the thought of having my grocery list on my phone and dropping the phone in the store! Most everything else is done on the iPhone. Well, some things are also on the bathroom mirror in dry erase!

PILOT ME… I have a huge sketch type notebook (no lines) and I keep it by my desk/bed/couch, where ever…and actually I have to admit I have two… full of random notes, phone numbers, to dos, gift ideas, room measurements, the worst part, my mom bought the notebooks for my five year to color in. but I love them.

Pilot me! I write notes in a lot of different ways and in a lot of different places, which doesn’t always help because I don’t remember where I put the note… Strangely, the act of writing it down seems to help me remember what it was, even if I lose the note!

I love using pen and paper. LOVE. I’m serious that one of the perks of having a child is that one day I can take him school supply shopping. I grew up coveting the fancy notebooks, pens and markers that the other kids had – we got the bulk pack of basic notebooks and whatever writing utensils were on sale so to this day, using a notebook and pen that I actually get to pick out myself still feels kind of awesome. Lame but true.

Pilot me! Pilot pens are actually my favorite (the rollerballs). I’m VERY fussy about my pens.

I’m a pen and paper person all the way–I actually find myself reverting MORE to paper from some things I kept track of electronically. There’s just something about the old fashioned way. :)
