Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). I love keeping a pen in my purse, but because I have a four year old, I tend to find myself scribbling down notes with, um, restaurant crayons. Glamorous!

Pilot Me!! My favorite way to take notes is with a Pilot fountain pen (just learned about them–they’re awesome!) and my action planner notebook. In absence of that, I send myself e-mails or call my voice mail. I love office supplies so I am totally psyched about this contest!

Not to be a suck-up, but I’ve loved Pilot pens since I picked one up for the first time in HS Debate. I always have one in my purse and use it to jot down lists in a notebook I keep on hand. I’ve tried to go electronic by using Tasks in Outlook, but honestly, for me nothing works better or helps me remember everything like my trusty pen and notebook. The bonus is that the Type A nerd inside me gets a lot of satisfaction from crossing out things that I’ve done. And yes, I’ve been known to add something to a list just so I can cross it off.
