Fab Freebie: This Is Your Pilot Writing

***This giveaway  is now closed – see who won below! ***

Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

Pilot Pen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Pilot.="nofollow">

    PILOT ME!

Personally I’m a pencil gal myself. I feel that pens are too permanent and do not leave room for fixing error. If I write in pen and mess up, I am the type to completely restart whatever I was doing on a new sheet of paper. I like to keep things pretty, so pencils are my thing.

    PILOT ME!

I love making lists with a pen, but when it comes to my calendar, which I absolutely need to stay organized, I only use pencils. That way when something changes on my schedule, there aren’t a bunch of messy lined out things with tiny words written above.

    Pilot Me!!!

I, too, am very picky about my writing utensil and my pen of choice is the Pilot G2. I’m starting to use my iphone more for jotting down things to remember but it cannot replace the act of physically writing it on paper.

PILOT ME! Notes depend on what I’m doing. For instance, if it’s a list of to-dos around the house, I have to write it on paper. If it’s a grocery store list, it’s electronic on my phone.

PILOT ME! I always keep a steno pad and pen by the phone at work (at home, heaven help me if I can find a crayon and something to scribble on!). The only pens I use at work are the Pilot Precise Rolling Ball pens (extra fine).

I’ve tried to go straight digital but still find myself grabbing a pen (Dr. Grip!) and a notebook for meetings. The actual act of writing helps me remember.

    “PILOT ME!”
I keep a small notebook with my daily “To-Do” list (errands, calls to make, etc). I’ve also started jotting down any type of project that I finish (cleaning out a closet, reorganizing the junk drawer, finishing a painting project, etc). Going back and looking at the things I’ve accomplished (even if they are small) reminds me that I do more than go to work, eat and sleep :-)

but when I flip back thru my notebook and I realize I actually accomplished more than I thought.

I always have 2 ball point pens in my purse, one that I love and one not so nice one (for loaning out!). Discovering that I’m out without a writing utensil is often cause for panic, because I love scribbling and writing in my free moments. This is a rad giveaway!

You don’t even know how excited I am for this giveaway. Office supplies = heaven. I tend to rely on my phone when I’m on the go, but nothing beats a paper + pen. I have some Rifle Paper Co. notebooks + at least one of my favorite pens laying around. My current fave is the Uniball Jetstream, but I also love the Pilot Precise.

Pilot Me – pretty please!! My husband has a certain brand of pen that he loves… so I just swipe some of his! As for writing down notes, I’m always recycling the stuff that kids bring home from school. Even with their “green initiative,” you’d be surprised how many one sided sheets come home with 3 kids in K-6.

I am addicted to lists and notes and reminders. I write on my mirrors with permanent marker (cause it comes off), my shower tile with dry erase markers (mostly inspirational stuff) and post-it notes. Everywhere. I did get a post-it app for my work iPad but it isn’t the same. I L*O*V*E crumpling up a list when I’m done with it!

Pens can be any color, fine-tip or marker and any color. Did I mention I like color?

I’m definitely a pen and post-it kind of a person, although I am switching over to notes on my phone as well. I will admit that I won’t use just any pen though– I love writing with a good quality pen! I just went through and threw out all of my crappy non-functional pens last week, so some new ones would be fantastic!
