Fab Freebie: This Is Your Pilot Writing

***This giveaway  is now closed – see who won below! ***

Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

Pilot Pen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Pilot.="nofollow">

I always use pencils, when I was in H.S. I used to get points taken off my essays because I refused to write in pen. Boy I hated that teacher:)

Pilots Precise V5 Extra Fines just happen to be my all time favorite and go to choice! To-do lists on apps just aren’t the same if I can’t have the satisfaction of crossing them off, so I’m an ol’ fashioned planner and notebook gal!

I ALWAYS have a pen at hand. I have 3 in my purse, one next to the couch, in the car and a pad and pen front and center at my desk….I wouldn’t get half the things I do done if I didn’t write it down first!

    PILOT ME!
I just started following you this morning based on some other blogs I was reading – I can’t remember where I came in from but I think it was some sort of money based blog.

Anyway, I made myself a little organizational tool out of fabric to hold a pen – Pilot is my favorite too, their gel pens especially – and a pad a paper for taking notes, my zippered pouches to organize cash for expenses, and my calculator. I scribble down notes on my pad of paper about what I will need for groceries to keep my families expenses in check.

I somehow always end up with an assortment of pens in my purse from different places (i.e. the bank, post office, dentist). As for jotting down notes I’m always short on paper and end up using old receipts.

Pens, pencils, quill, crayons – it all works as long as it gets written down somewhere! As far as I’m concerned, if it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist. Thank you for the fun giveaway-opportunity! I love YHL!

Pilot me! I love pencils because I’m spelling challenged but I hate how they smudge, so anything that needs to have staying power gets written in pen! Trying to switch to my iPhone for lists but there is something about having that physical piece of paper that makes handwritten lists superior to digital!

I do love a good pen and paper. I’m never very good at keeping lists on my phone or digitally.. I just forget about them. It also helps that I can cross it off my list if it is on paper and use fun colored pens! :)

Pilot me! I love pens and paper and stationary. My husband and I fight over the “good” pens, and we both have to hide them from the kids, who are arts and crafts geeks — especially the toddler, whose medium of choice is felt tip on drywall. I would love to have a stash all my own! :)

I use my smartphone for work items, but nothing beats sitting down to write a good old fashioned list you then get to cross off.
