Fab Freebie: This Is Your Pilot Writing

***This giveaway  is now closed – see who won below! ***

Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

Pilot Pen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Pilot.="nofollow">

PILOT ME! I have a ga-zillion sticky notes in my office, at home, in my car, in my purse, and anywhere else that I can find a place to stick ’em. And of course I use PILOT pens! I have one in my wallet (with a sticky note pad) at ALL times. Pick me, pick me!

I have an addiction to lists. I have to make lists or I won’t get anything done! And I’m super picky about which pens go with which notebook. Maybe a little OCD?

I love pen and paper lists, in spite of my iPhone. I have a little Moleskine planner with a blank page for notes each week and I often supplement with post-its. For pens I love the Pilot Precise V5 for everyday but I’m also a user of Staedtler’s triplus fineliner pens for color-coded editing.

    “PILOT ME!”

I am a crazy note taker, I live in a world of crazy old men that just jabber all over the place and forget what they said – so it is up to me to scribble it down.

I actually love fine-tip ball point pens. I like the idea of those liquid writing pens but they smudge with my writing technique lol.

I vow to never go completely digital with my note taking, it is so fun to dig back through my steno pads and see what I was thinking then.

    Ciao!

I’m all about the pen and paper, although I like to “double down” with an electronic back up (calendar). I cannot live without pen and paper so this give away is the bomb diggity. Or as Macklmore would say “This is f*ing awesome.”

    PILOT ME!

I always carry at least three or four pens with me everywhere I go, and I have for years! I have to have one purple, one red and one blue and/or black. I think it all stems from years as a copy editor and then a law student – I love to color-code everything! I’m also a huge fan of pen and paper lists. I tried going digital, but nothing replaces the feeling of scratching something off a long to-do list!

I like digital. I keep lists in the “Reminders” app on my iPhone. I also use Google Calendar to remind me of things, e.g. if I have to mail something by a certain day, I put it on that date and Google emails me that day to remind me.

Love a good pen to write a card or handwritten note though!

PILOT ME!!! Please! I have TONS of notes to take for work and at home, just to try to keep up with all the things I need to do, remember and keep track of. I have this beautiful little green journal, but never seem to have it when I need it. I usually end up writing notes to myself on sticky notes and then, you know how that goes… they are everywhere and I can never make heads or tails of them after the fact! I’m a mess!
