Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!
This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.
- PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of

Taylor says
PILOT ME! I love me a good fine tip ball point — not medium, FINE I tell you! I use those babies to chicken scratch on notebooks; I have two in my purse at all times.

Pilot me!
I take notes all the time… I have a note book that i carry around with me and I have a pencil in my bag for easy notes. But when I get home I usually make everything on my Calendar with my handy pen!
But I love notes and note books…
Laura K. says
PILOT ME! I use scratch paper and whatever pen we have laying around the house.
Jana H says
PILOT ME! I definitely am a pen gal. Pencils just smudge too much! And as much as I try to use my phone to keep notes in, I can’t keep away from my written notes I tape everywhere! If they are out of sight, they are out of mind!
Karina M says
Pilot me! I definitely have my favorite pens that I use for everything! However, I do use note apps on my phone for when I am out and about and need to remember to do something or get something! It saves me from digging in my purse for the receipt I wrote on the back of while in line at the store! :) Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Diana says
Pilot Me!
I’m trying to reduce clutter by using my phone more often for notes, but still love an assortment of pens (including Pilot razorpoints) for marking up plans at work…and sharpies are practically a job requirement!
Kirsten says
Pilot me!
I have a pen that stays in my wallet, and I usually have about 3 or 4 more in my purse, just in case. I also keep in my purse a little stack of index cards with a mini binder clip so I have a quick place to take notes, instead of on a receipt that I will inevitably throw away. :)
Kristin says
Pilot Me!
I don’t have one of those fancy phones so I am a pen and paper kind of girl.
Emma B says
PILOT ME! I write my notes on post-its AND in my phone, just to make sure I don’t forget…I love notes and lists!
Mari-ann says
PILOT ME!!!
I prefer to write with a mechanical pencil for everything. It just looks softer on paper to me. I use lists for everything and usually scrapaper lists laying all over the house. I also write out our grocery list every week, along with what we already have and what we will eat that week, so I have it all in one place and can refer back for ideas.
Deidra says
PILOT ME! I love the Pilot super fine pens, and have been known to get them as Valentine’s gifts and Christmas presents from my husband. Oooh, la la.
Hannah says
PILOT ME!
I love digital apps, but I almost never trust it for reminders! I have a small pad of paper I keep in my purse, so I can write down “To-Do”s and reminders for later. Pens all the way, baby!! :)
Caroline F says
PILOT ME!
I teach Kindergarten, so my notes on any given day are in pencil, crayon, pen, sparkle glitter pens… you name it. I like lined notebooks to stay organized but just as often jot down notes on old worksheets, construction paper scraps or receipts. I could use some organizing! :)
Whitney R. says
PILOT ME! I always have a black ball point pen in my purse! I have to hand write all of my lists!
Brianna says
Pilot me! I love a good Pilot V5 pen for all my notetaking needs. Beats a scratchy, unreliable ball point pen any day and makes those to-do lists much more appealing!
Jen M. says
PILOT ME!
I am a list maniac! I make lists, and sometimes add things I’ve already done, just for the satisfaction of being able to cross it off the list, ha!
And pretty colorful ink that writes smooth (like, gel ink pens), makes that even more fun!
