Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!
This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.
- PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of

Pilot me! As much as i luv the convenience/portability of going digital, there is something about handwritten notes. gotta have pens in the house, in the car, in my purse, at work, even have some in the garage ready for my DIY projects.

Pilot actually makes a brand named “Frixion” that is an erasable pen.. I love them. They are the best if you are still using an old paper planner like I am!

I love a pens, gel or a good ol’ ballpoint are my favorite. I am a handwriting freak, good handwriting will gain you extra points in my book! I do use my electronic device to make list and reminders for my self, so I guess you could say that I am the best of both worlds. Old school master handwriter and new age tech saavy!
Jennifer says
Pilot Me! I love having my calendar on my phone but for lists I need to write them down and nothing beats a sharp brand new pencil.
Trcay Bryan says
PILOT ME! I have gone digital! My notes are all on my iphone. (I never thought I would be that girl who reads books from an electronic device or takes voice notes on her phone memo pad) Oh well, I am and I love it!

Pencils. I always use pencils for note taking and list making! Gotta be able to erase. Sadly I tend to take notes on post-its… which pile up on my desk at work… and I can’t throw them out because they may be important!

Pilot me to a far-off place…
wait.
This isn’t about travel. :/
I kid, I kid. I have to use the biggest, chunkiest ballpoint possible, because I always manage to get diesel or other oily crap on my notepad. I use sharpies to write on filters, but taking notes with them does. not. work. So. The bigger/chunkier, the better.
Krista @ mk inspired says
Pilot me! I carry a small sketchbook and a bunch of pens at all times. I write or sketch out anything that inspires me. I love going through my books to see what I jotted down over the years. Kinda like an inspiration diary. Good stuff! :)

My husband is very particular about the pens he uses. Problem is he loses them so often. Pilot often has $1 off coupons so I stock up when I can!
Tara S says
Pilot me! I’m definitely a pen and paper girl. I like to write lists and enjoy crossing things out. We are just about to paint a chalkboard wall in our house so we’ll see if that starts to become a note taking place.
Ellen says
PILOT ME!!
I always use a mechanical pencil with my paper agenda, but like a nice pen in my journal. And we have a Target coming to Ottawa in Fall 2013 so HOW AWESOME IS THIS!!?
Carla Mahnke says
PILOT ME!
I am picky about pens and organization tools. I have been coveting the levenger circa notebooks for several years, I have a knock off that I use everyday right now.
I have two nice pens at work, they have to have a very fine tip because I write so big! They are also refillable so I help reduce waste. Anyone who uses one always wants to take it from me!
Amy says
PILOT ME! I am a sharpie and post it kinda girl.
Matt says
Pilot Me!!! On a sticky note!
Laurie says
PILOT ME!
So generally I start with one maybe two pens in my purse at all times. By the time the season is over and I change purses I have about 10, and NONE on the counter where I make my grocery list.

PILOT ME!
I always used to scribble down lists and notes on Post-Its (which would end up EVERYWHERE), but now for the most part I jot down my lists on my iPhone.
Jen E. says
Pilot me!
Oh, I make tons of lists. Short-term, long-term, home improvement ideas, gift ideas, my purse is stuffed with them.
I must have pen-and-paper lists. I like to be able to scribble amendments or notes on the go, and I need the satisfaction of crossing things off one by one. Sometimes my husband will sneak something onto my To Do list when I’m not looking, to make me laugh, like “Make your husband a pie.”
Sara says
PILOT ME!!! I love the Pilot G-2 pens! I write with them everywhere! @ work, @ home, in my planner, I carry them in my purse! In fact I just about a new multi color pack Friday! :)
