Fab Freebie: This Is Your Pilot Writing

***This giveaway  is now closed – see who won below! ***

Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

Pilot Pen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Pilot.="nofollow">

PILOT ME! I love to make lists, and am also particular about my pens. I love crossing items off a list! Sometimes I’ll make a new list when I’m about half-way through, so that what I finish things I can cross them off two lists!

PILOT ME! I keep a black sketch book and an assortment of pens and pencils in my purse. I jot down everything in that book from grocery lists and meal planning to notes in church on Sunday. I would love to be a bit more organized and especially start an address book! I hope I win!

    PILOT ME!

And I am obsessed with writing utensils. Always have been, and most likely, always will be. For my college class notes, its usually some pen in the black ink form. At home, for random little notes, I love colored ball points, or my felt pens I just bought. And lastly, I utilize my phone as well for many notes, especially shopping lists!

PILOT ME! I always carry a pen/notebook in my purse. I am a total list maker so it’s essential that I always have something to write with. Adding a task to my phone just isn’t the same as writing it down & crossing it off!

I used to be a strict tiny notebook in my purse kind of girl, but I have recently moved to the “notes” app on my phone. It makes me a little sad to leave my favorite little notebooks, but I have pretty awful handwriting so it’s much easier this way

PILOT ME! I am a pen and paper “to do” list person. I LOVE checking things off a list…and I’ll sometimes write something on the list only to immediately check it off if it was productive! I do use my iphone for my calendar and notes. Thanks for the chance.

PILOT ME!!!!! I have an organizing business and a gift giving company…that means I have to stay extremely organized myself which only works for me if I manually write every little detail down on paper and in a book! I still use manual receipts and enjoy the handwritten personal touch that is often vacant these days! I would LOVE this pilot gift as it would be so very useful for me:)

PILOT ME! I just can’t seem to go digital with our family datebook/calendar. It’s filled with birthdays, activities, due dates, post-it notes and school project papers/info. If anything ever happened to it, our family would be L-O-S-T! A good mechanical pencil, highlighter and Pilot pen are essential and have a home right next the datebook!

At Work: I have about 30 different pens of different colors and 5 different scratch pads post it pads going all over my desk, at work is where I have may haven, because I can control my need for organization there…

I guess I’m too old to forsake the tactile pleasure of paper. I still read
3-dimensional books and, while the novelty of iPad apps to make notes and doodle does have some appeal, I still prefer my colored pencils and good paper. The things I could do wiith all these treats….oh, it would be too wonderful!
