Fab Freebie: This Is Your Pilot Writing

***This giveaway  is now closed – see who won below! ***

Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!

This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.

Pilot Pen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Pilot.="nofollow">

I love a broken lipstick, eye liner, bingo dobber (wait. what? why do I even have that?), steam filled mirror and my finger, anything I can get my hands on because one of my kids probably moved a normal writing utensil somewhere I will never find. Seriously signed the pizza man’s receipt the other day with my mascara wand. I desperately try to be more organized. Just had my 7th organization resolution. Help Me.

    PILOT ME!!!

I LOVE me some pens! My infatuation started while working at a Pediatric Doctor’s Office nearly 9 years ago and the different reps would bring us their pens. There is nothing quite like the feeling of finding that perfect pen! And once I find it, it goes straight in my purse and I am thrilled to pull it out and use it at every convenience! =)

I love “good” pens. I am very picky about what I write with, that if it’s not the right kind, I will use my phone to take notes, but I would always prefer pen and a nice (new!) notebook :)

Pilot Me! I keep a black, micro-point pen and a medium-sized notebook with me at all times. I love to jot down to-do lists and recipes and all sorts of things. When I fill one up, I put the start and finish date on the front so I can find what I need down the road. I haven’t started indexing them yet, but… ;-)

    PILOT ME!

I’m obsessed with pens and I love to write so my favorite way to take notes is the old fashioned way. I usually get teased in work meetings because I have very detailed notes – but it’s the way I keep my thoughts together and help me remember things post-meeting. Plus, trying out new pens is always fun! My favorite right now is the Pentel Energel medium point in black! ohlala!

When at work, I’m all about the mechanical pencil. Also, it’s a pencil in the garage working on projects too. I think I just straight up prefer pencils. Unless I don’t want whatever I’m writing to fade away and disappear. Then it’s a pen. But I really enjoy sharpies :)

PILOT ME! I love pens!! I’m that dork who loved shopping for school supplies. I still take notes at work in a spiral notebook and write down my to-do list. My favorite is a pretty blue ball point pen, but rollerballs and gel ink are growing on me. My husband is also a very picky pen user. He always has “his pen” in his pocket so he has something to write with.

PILOT ME! I’ve been known to wake in the middle of the night with thoughts about things to do, people to call, groceries to buy, etc. In order to prevent these ideas from leaving me and also allowing me to fall back asleep, I keep a notepad and pencil on my dresser to write notes to myself. I’ve learned not to use a pen, as I woke up once (having mistakenly slept on the pen) to ink all over my face. Spectacular!

I take a pic on my phone of what I need to remember, like a phone number. OR I text my husband and say “dont let me forget.” OR, of course the back of my hand is a good reminder.
